Liked The beauty of the site, the lakeside restaurant where we had 2 amazing meals back to back on two consecutive nights.
The showers were hot & pressure was really good.
The bar was also friendly & felt part of the regulars they are funny & real people.
1 star drop for the breakfast & service in the cafe, gorgeous setting but the breakfast was not good, watery, tasteless & not up to the lakesides standards.
Disliked Just the tasteless breakfast that we delayed ourselves in great expectations after our experience in the lakeside. Ate later in Welshpool.

Liked Rarely go back to the same place as there are so many lovely sites and places to still try but fell in love with this stunning site last year so returned, right by the sea, extremely friendly staff, beautifully clean and well maintained, lovely ports to visit and enjoy fresh sea food, if you like chilling, fabulous scenery and value for money then book it, if you like walking, friendly people & a immaculate place to shower, then book it.
Disliked The anchor inn, last year it did gorgeous food that was both legible and edible, this year it had a very complicated menu that needed an interpreter, very over the top with ingredients and it was a regular topic of conversation with many that we overheard complaining how complex it had become and we love our good restaurants, shame as the setting the anchor sits on is second to none, last year we ate in the anchor most nights and it was excellent

From the manager: Dear Julie, Thank you for the 10 out of 10 feedback. We are so pleased that we exceeded your expectations. The Anchor Inn is not owned by the site.

Liked Only stayed one night on the way home from Dorset, nice site with a lovely canalside pub with barges on the canal, a little off the beaten track with no shop so be prepared and you will not be disappointed. Would of scored higher but toilet/ shower block could do with an update

Liked Customer service & care is second to none, Thomas the owner goes above & beyond to help his campers, A hard working farmer that stopped his Busy schedule to get a grease gun to assist my hubby, a friendly back to basics site that gives all the opportunity of some family quality time away from the rat race of life
Disliked Nothing to dislike, site says quite clearly no showers & a compost toilet & this adds to its charm & adventure

Liked Clean and spacious park and very versatile, old or young it's a hive of activity or a peaceful haven, lovely friendly pub and nice touring pitches, many activities for children to gain special holiday memories.
Disliked We decided to pop into the chippy & it was totally unorganised chaos with a terrible atmosphere & a server that looked so angry with everyone that dared to speak to her, what a total shame that one person in a chain of lovely friendly staff leaves your lasting impression of a near perfect holiday

Liked Beautiful scenery, immaculate facility's, right on its own beach with a lovely pub over looking the sea serving fabulous food and all central to wonderful harbours selling fresh fish for your barbecue, this truly is a little gem
Disliked Absolutely nothing to dislike, only thing to bear in mind is the lane you have to master on its approach as it is very narrow and can be a challenge if you meet oncoming traffic

Liked The area has took the brunt of the weather & needs all our support to recover, it's a lovely clean site in a beautiful part of the lakes & only a 15 minute walk to a nice little village which has 3 friendly pubs serving good food & a post office to withdraw money as there is no cash machine. Water foot has a lovely warm friendly bar to enjoy but is closed wed & thurs, toilet & shower rooms are kept immaculate with hair dryers as a nice touch, a play park for the kids to enjoy.. All in all a pretty good find
Disliked Nothing to do with the park, but need to add that the walk to the village has no path so not suitable for prams which is a shame as it is a lovely walk with beautiful scenery over the lake
