Great stay
Powered grass and earth campsite
Liked Amazing warm welcome in the torrential rain! Thank you for opening up the Cafe so we could wait until the rain eased a little and for hunting for "the noir" for my dad! We loved staying with you! The bread, pizzas and pain au chocolate were amazing and went down a treat! Everything was clean and well looked after and you both wotk very hard to maintain standards and it shows! We will be back!

Nice location, lots of families
Primitive grass and earth campsite
Liked Location was good to get to the village, 10 - 15 minute walk. Pitch was adequate size. Lots of families with kids so pretty lively till about 10 pm.
Disliked Not a lot of shade, pool is shared with other holiday companies so quite busy.

From the manager: Thank you for sharing your experience. We are delighted that you enjoyed our location and the pool. As a small, family-run campsite, we offer simple facilities while prioritizing a quiet, friendly atmosphere. We understand that the pool can get very busy during peak season and heatwaves.
We wish you all the best for your future travels.

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback!
We are delighted that you enjoyed the welcome you received, the cleanliness of the facilities, the size of your pitch, and our location—perfect for exploring Sainte-Suzanne, the surrounding area, and Le Mans.
Regarding the flies: unfortunately, they can be particularly numerous depending on the season and the weather (especially during summer heatwaves). While we certainly do our best to minimize their presence, this is simply a fact of nature.
As for the Wi-Fi, we understand your point. We chose to offer paid Wi-Fi access to preserve the "glamping" spirit: enjoying your stay, looking up from screens, and disconnecting so you can better appreciate nature and the surrounding area.
Thank you again for sharing your experience; we look forward to welcoming you back!

Good site , well priced , good vibe.

Liked Lovely location and a warm welcome by who I assumed to be the female owner. Clear instructions and information provided. Perfect base to explore the area and good bakery service procided.
Disliked This site prides itself on its eco friendly ethos. Thos is great but the gentleman who I assume to be the male owner is somewhat militant in his management of the refuse area , so much so it can come across as a bit rude at times, and becomes stressful for the patron. However I believe the sentiment was well intentioned so will give benefit of doubt.

From the manager: Thank you for your review and for your kind comments regarding our welcome, our location, and our bakery service.
We are indeed committed to eco-friendly practices, with waste sorting being a key part of this approach. We apologize if our reminders came across as abrupt or made you feel uncomfortable. We always strive to explain the rules clearly while ensuring they are followed by everyone, for the benefit of both the environment and the campsite.
We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay overall and hope you had a wonderful time exploring the region. We wish you all the best for your future travels.

Liked Nice location and the swimming pool was great
Disliked Bins were disgusting and always full , showers were poor, tap to fill your water was in a ridiculous location and can’t get the motorhome
Anywhere near to fill up, the lady was very nice but the man owner was very rude

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed our location and swimming pool.
We are, however, genuinely surprised by your overall rating, as it is exceptionally low compared with the feedback we usually receive from our guests. We would therefore like to clarify a few points for the benefit of future guests.
Regarding the bins, we are sorry that you found them unsatisfactory. However, we empty them at least four times a day precisely to ensure that they remain accessible and that the waste area stays clean. Our campsite also has clearly displayed sorting instructions, in English, both on arrival and at the waste disposal area and sinks. Unfortunately, during your stay, we noticed that the sorting instructions were not followed by your group, and empty drinks cans were also regularly left around the children's play area. We therefore find the comment that the bins were “always full” somewhat difficult to reconcile with the care we take to maintain this area throughout the day.
As for the showers, our campsite uses a system designed to regulate water consumption as part of our commitment to responsible and sustainable water use. This system is explained to our guests and is intended to ensure that everyone can enjoy the facilities while limiting unnecessary water consumption. We did observe exceptionally long showers during your stay, which can understandably affect the availability and experience of the facilities for other campers.
We are also sorry that the motorhome water filling point did not meet your expectations. Its location is designed according to the layout of the campsite, and we appreciate that it may not be convenient for every vehicle. We will nevertheless take your comment into consideration.
Finally, we are particularly surprised by your comment regarding the male owner being “very rude”. As a small family-run campsite, we both take great care to welcome our guests personally and respectfully. We are always happy to explain our rules or help when needed, although we do also expect our guests to respect the basic rules of the campsite and the shared facilities.
We are glad that you found our location pleasant and enjoyed the swimming pool. We regret that your overall experience did not meet your expectations, but we also believe that a fair review should take into account both the services provided by the campsite and the way in which the shared facilities are used.
We wish you all the best for your future travels.

From the manager: Thank you very much for your review!
We are delighted that you enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, the cleanliness, our eco-friendly approach, the pool, and our location.
We understand that having to order pizzas before 6 p.m. might seem a bit restrictive. Since the two of us run the campsite ourselves, this schedule helps us maintain a good balance while still offering a warm, personalized welcome to our guests.
Thank you again for staying with us and for taking the time to share your experience. We hope to welcome you back to Glamping de Sainte Suzanne one day!
