Great location near Black Rock Sands beach with amazing views. Staff are praised for being friendly and helpful. Renovated facilities are new and clean, though some older ones are dated. Recurring feedback includes shower fees/times, and poor Wi-Fi/phone signal. Some visitors feel further improvements are needed.

Disliked had
We have stayed at many campsites over the years, but unfortunately this was by far the worst experience we've ever had.
From the outset, the general attitude of some of the staff was rude and unwelcoming. The roads around the site were in an awful condition, with numerous potholes and very uneven surfaces, which was particularly difficult when towing a caravan.
We were allocated a pitch in the camping field despite having a caravan. The pitches were extremely small – we had just enough room for our caravan, car and a small porch awning, with very little space around us. The facilities in this area were also extremely poor, including portable toilets with broken seats.
Throughout the weekend there were repeated reports from other campers about people being removed from the site for various reasons. Whether or not every report was accurate, the atmosphere created by this was extremely uncomfortable. We were there with two young children and genuinely felt on edge, wondering whether something as simple as the children being too noisy could result in us being asked to leave.
However, the most serious issue was a completely uncovered manhole/open foul-waste access point immediately behind our friends' lodge, in an area that was freely accessible and where vehicles were parked.
Given the amount of rain we experienced over the weekend, this presented an extremely serious danger. With two young children on the site, we found it genuinely frightening. A child falling into an uncovered foul-waste manhole could have resulted in catastrophic or potentially fatal consequences. This is not a minor maintenance issue – it is a very serious safety concern that should never have been left accessible.
To make matters worse, the hot tub was cold for the entire weekend, despite being one of the facilities we expected to be able to use.
Overall, the combination of poor maintenance, inadequate facilities, unwelcoming staff and, most importantly, the serious safety hazard made this a thoroughly unpleasant stay.
We would strongly recommend that the site addresses the safety issues and general maintenance of the site as a matter of urgency.

Liked The glamping pod was spotless. The lady (I think shes the owner) couldn't help us enough we got there a little late and she still showed us everything we needed to know and tried to help with sleeping arrangements for our baby because I forgot the travel cot.
Disliked The camp site isn't very child friendly but wasn't really an issue for us as we were out all day every day

Powered grass campsite (family)
Liked Very clean and new bathroom facilities with great hot water in the showers. Nice level pitches. Pitches are good size. They were very accommodating in assisting us to get a pitch close to a power supply due to our short extension cord. No WiFi on site and mobile reception is really poor in that area, so put down the mobile.
