What customers say
Cefn Coed offers a 'wild camping' experience with beautiful woodland and field pitches. Guests praise the stunning natural surroundings, peaceful atmosphere, and proximity to the Mawddach Estuary for walks and swimming. The on-site bar, wood-fired pizzas, and Thai food are popular additions. Staff are frequently described as friendly and helpful. Some visitors noted that the facilities, while generally clean, could be insufficient during peak times and that waste disposal requires guests to take their rubbish home. The woodland pitches are particularly highlighted for their privacy and sense of seclusion.

Loads of space in the field…
Field primitive grass tent or campervan campsite
Liked Loads of space in the field with beautiful views. Great for weather watching and stargazing. Showers and toilets were always clean. 5 mins walk down to the estuary then 4 miles into Dolgellau/5 to Barmouth. Cadair Idris a short drive which is a lovely varied walk up and tired the kids out! Oh and there's a cupboard to charge your phone which was very useful.
Disliked Not a dislike - just to say the woodland pitches looked lovely but would've been a bit cramped with our 6 man tent.

A real, wild retreat with stunning scenery
Oak Woodland primitive forest floor tent campsite
Liked Our pitch was beautiful, the last on the walk down to the river. We were shown the facilities on arrival and shown our pitch and it was all super easy and well sign posted!

Do not pick the riverside campsite if you are not fit.
Oak Woodland primitive forest floor tent campsite
Liked Absolutely stunning. Peaceful.
Disliked My location would have been amazing if it weren't for the rain. The trails down to the riverside site turned into flowing brooks and make it impossible to travers uphill. When attemping both myself and my tentmate slide down the rocky slop. There are huge steps that required hands and knees to make it up. We couldn't transport our items past this in the proivded wheelbarrel.
