Family-run The Paddocks Caravan and Camping is a small and ultra-organised site with well-maintained, flat and spacious pitches in north Wales. It’s less than five minutes’ drive to the beach at Criccieth, and around half an hour to the imposing castles at Harlech and Caernarfon, making this a cracking adults-only base from which to explore the Llŷn Peninsula. It's a 10-minute trip by car to the wide, south-facing sands at Pwllheli, a former haunt of smugglers and pirates. You'll find it quite a bit calmer these days, especially if you follow the fab Llŷn Peninsula Coastal Path round the peninsula for views and wildlife and splendid sea air. Sandcastles, paddling and rockpool exploration are all there for the taking. If you’d rather ditch the car, a bus stop is five minutes’ walk away, or you can explore on two legs – perhaps a good place to start is the local village of Llanystumdwy (five minutes’ walk), as it’s the burial place of former Prime Minister David Lloyd George. You can see his grave and visit a small museum, and afterwards stroll down the banks of the scenic River Dwyfor or pop into the pub for a pint. Gleaming facilities on site include a well-lit shower block with two private bathrooms (each containing a large shower, wash-hand basin and toilet), plus a separate adjacent shower with a dressing room and a hair dryer. Nearby is a covered communal area with a table and seating, plus two washing-up sinks, a fridge-freezer, a separate drinks fridge, a microwave, toaster and a kettle. There's also a phone-charging point. Firepits and barbecues are allowed, but they must be raised off the ground and set up on one of the concrete slabs provided. Small chimineas and barbecues are available for nightly hire on site, and you can buy logs and charcoal here too. Please note that parties are not permitted – this is a quiet site.

  • Single-sex bookings of 5 or more people (couples and immediate family members excepted) are not permitted via Pitchup.com.
  • No bachelor/bachelorette parties permitted via Pitchup.com.
  • Guests under the age of 18 are not allowed on site.
  • Bookings must not be for more than 28 consecutive nights.
  • Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.
  • A cable measuring at least 20 metres is needed for the electric hook-ups.
  • Units longer than 9.1 metres are not allowed.
  • Minimum spacing of 3 metres between pitches.
  • If making a fire, the fuel, logs and coal have to be purchased on site.
  • Guests are advised to bring a good quality flashlight with them as parts of the park are unlit.
  • Please note that the toilet/shower facilities are unisex.
  • If reception is closed on arrival: please contact the number provided on your booking confirmation.
  • The charging of electric vehicles is not permitted on site.
  • The maximum gazebo size allowed is 3m x 3m.

Liked Eine liebevoll gepflegte Campsite. Die Pitches sind sehr grosd. Alle Faccitities total sauber und durchdacht. Die Duschen bestehen aus einer grissen Dusche, einem Badezimmer mit Toilette und Waschbecken. Es gibt eine Geschirrspülküche mit Kühlschrãnken, Gefrierschrank. Man kann free range Eggs, auch Duckeggs kaufen. Der Betreiber ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Free WiFi

Liked Excellent pitch condition, lovely grass, level and well spaced out and a nice atmosphere, the swift come down and around the tents at dawn and dusk 😊meadow area with mowed paths for dogs, very clean facilities and well looked after communal areas, owners have gone above and beyond with what's provided - fridge and freezer, toaster, microwave, 3 washing up sinks with washing up liquid, sponges etc. spare plates and cutlery, bus timetables, takeaway menus, maps, things to do in the area and wifi. You can hire BBQs and fire pits and buy the logs and coal from them. Best campsite I've stayed at in my camping life, highly recommend this site for adults only. Loved it! Thank you 😁

Liked Location, cleanliness, great facilities. The pitches are really spacious, so no overcrowding. The communal kitchen facilities are excellent, with microwave, toaster, fridge and freezer, and even and ice-maker. Very friendly.

Liked Lovely place, there’s everything you need and more. We loved peace and quiet and the fact that it is adults only campsite. Owners are super nice, they go above and beyond to make your stay the best it can be. Facilities are very clean. It is a great place to stay.

Friendly, respectful fellow campers.
Small, peaceful site.
Clean and tidy throughout including all the facilities, showers, toilets etc….
Excellent showers, loads of space, powerful and good temperatures.
Campers at well catered for in the kitchen area with fridge/freezers, microwave, and pretty much anything else you can think of, including washing up liquid and washing up bowls.
Provides a good base for exploring the Llyn
Peninsula.
Will definitely return when we get another childless weekend..
