What customers say
Spectacular, serene wild campsite with campfires allowed. Guests loved the beach proximity and parking convenience. Steep access road, though usually fine. Portaloo situation is improving.

Good experience for good price.
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Good location, good views, peaceful, clean mobile toilets, no hassle finding it and getting in. Only thing that could be improved is access rd, I’m good driver so not a biggie but my wife said she would struggle. Apart from that great experience and will use again when back in Wales. Thank you!
P.S. Host riding around on a quad bike with his dog was view worth extra star on this review👌🏽

Brillant views Lovely campsite.
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Brillant views. Nice and peaceful.
Great for getting away from it all.
The step track drive is a bit daunting to drive up but that's what is expected in Wales.
Loved the camp fire set up, collect stones and wood for a make shift fire.
Disliked Despite being two portaloos this were in constant use as very busy.
The area around toilets was very muddy and need to step up the grass bank to get to them. Which can be a challenge.
This campsite would be ideal if it had showers and toilets nearer to the tents.
Signs on the gate would also benefit working out where to go.

I'll be returning ❤️
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Beautiful view. It was an incredibly busy bank holiday, and although I wouldn't describe it as wild camping, I will definitely be returning. I can imagine on most weekends it would be quieter and more appealing to those wanting to wild camp. The portaloos were kept clean and tidy. I loved being able to choose my own spot, having a campfire, having the pitch black at night. You can't get these in most campsites in aberdovey.
Disliked The road up was a little difficult but manageable, the campsite itself is on a hill, I was aware of both of these already before coming (looking at previous reviews) and it wasn't as bad as anticipated.

I shall return during the better weather and not during storm David!
Primitive grass campervan campsite
Liked I spent a couple of nights here over Easter, if you're looking for a peaceful and unspoilt landscape to enjoy, then this is for you! Dogs can run free, campfires are permitted and the whole vibe is calm and chill with a beautiful view towards the dyfi estuary . Our host Harri was welcoming and cheerful and was contactable if needed
Disliked Nothing to dislike at all. Yes the track to the site is steep and a little uneaten, but if taken slowly it's fine.

Beautiful views but poor access, boggy field and bad facilities.
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked The campsite is set in a beautiful location with stunning views, especially looking out towards the sea. The surrounding area is lovely for exploring and it really does feel like a true wild camping experience.
Disliked Unfortunately, there were several issues that made the stay difficult. The access road is extremely poor, a steep gravel track full of huge potholes that is realistically only suitable for a 4x4. My own vehicle was damaged attempting it. The camping field itself was very boggy and wet, and because it is on a hill it was very difficult to find a flat, usable space to pitch a tent. The site is also extremely exposed to the wind, and during my stay our tents were blown over, with one pole snapping. The single portaloo was also not well maintained and in an unpleasant state when I arrived.
