Heron's Nest on-site trailer
Liked: EVERYTHING
The owners are a the most welcoming lovely people. The camp site is absolutely breathtaking. You can tell the family work so hard. The animals are beautiful.
You can’t fault anything. It was the most perfect experience. Also bruce is the cutest guard dog. Thank you so much for a lovely stay. I’ve been fighting health diagnoses for 10 months and this was my first time properly out this year. It was the most healing experience.
You’ve made a declining pub industry into something absolutely stunning.
Absolutely support pubs and farming. Because I’d hate a world where this doesn’t exist.
Disliked: The fact I went home!

Kingfisher cabin (seven person)
Liked: We loved the whole site.
The owners were very welcoming and always around. We stayed in the Kingfisher Lodge and it was perfect for us (2 adults and 3 teens). It had a small fridge and kettle. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony overlooking the river. It was lovely meeting the alpacas every day.
The toilets were spotless and the whole campsite was very clean and tidy.
Having a pub on site was a lovely extra.
We would highly recommend this place.

Bed-in-a-shed microlodge
Liked: The campsite was in a beautiful setting next to the river. We stayed in the 'bed in a shed' and we loved it. The pub has such a friendly warmth about it and they couldn't be more helpful and welcoming. The Alpaca walking and feeding was a bonus.
Disliked: We had to create a makeshift 'porch' to the shed using a tarp as it rained and the only other option was to close the doors. A porch plus an indoor light would be a great addition to the shed.
