Dafyyd primitive grass and earth tent campsite
Liked Absolutely everything was fantastic. What a beautiful, rustic, quirky little site. Gorgeous view, relaxed atmosphere, lovely walks, the river running through to name but a few of the highlights.
The owners are really lovely and welcoming and their attention to detail very impressive. The toilets/showers and kitchenette all spotlessly clean and the sunset shack to die for with sofas, all day sunshine and gorgeous views. Add all of this to the fact you can take your dog/s and the package is special.
We camped on Daffyd which had all day sun, outside firepit and lovely views of the countryside.
If you don't fancy camping then try the yurt or tips, all with outdoor, private space with firepits. The yurt interior looks gorgeous.
I highly recommend you try this little haven we will certainly be back. Thank you again both.
Disliked The walk to the shop is a little difficult with no pavements, but doable.
Warm welcome, great facilities
Don Don primitive grass and earth tent campsite
Liked Stayed on Don Don, warm welcome from Jane with a guided tour of the site. Exceptional clean facilities with homemade items for sale in the kitchette. Home made pizza night was lovely. The sunset from the shack was amazing. Overall a relaxing way to spend a couple of nights listening to the river
Disliked Steep hill to carry all our belongings up

Magical campsite, nothing not to love!
Dafyyd primitive grass and earth tent campsite
Liked I absolutely loved this place, so much so that I changed from 2 nights to 3 nights once I had arrived! I was on the Daffyd pitch which was spacious and had a gorgeous view across the hills, it was also close to all of the facilities (sunset shack, showers (hot and powerful), communal kitchen etc). I spent a lot of time just observing and listening to nature and I was lucky enough to be treated to the best shooting stars I've ever seen! The grounds are beautiful and there is lots to explore nearby. I even took a kayak out but it was a bit too shallow. Had a wild swim also!
I was a solo female traveller and was made to feel really welcome, both by Ian and Jane but also other campers that I ran into. There were so many lovely little touches here that made it a home from home, homemade produce in the little shop and blankets to use in the sunset shack which I did one rainy day whilst reading my book and listening to the rain fall on the tin looking over the countryside. Sooo peaceful!
You can also have breakfast delivered, I had sourdough croissants with homemade jam and they were really tasty!
I will 100% be back!! I really enjoyed my stay!
