Kick back and relax with a stay at the very pretty Scone Club Site, set in the grounds of the mythical and ancient royal Scone Palace. Known as the home of the Stone of Scone (Stone of Destiny), this palace is full of lore and its grounds are a haven for wildlife including deer, ospreys, and black rabbits. Fair game This tree-lined campsite is well-equipped with modern features such as a motorhome service point, family shower room, washing machines, and Club Holiday Homes. It’s a peaceful and tranquil space to camp under the stars, and while it doesn’t offer direct access to Scone Palace, it is the ideal place to stay to visit its many events such as the Scottish Game Fair (July). Riverside city sights The village of Scone is a short drive away and has a few well-rated pubs and places to eat. A little further south is the vibrant city of Perth on the banks of Scotland’s longest river, the Tay. There are attractions here for all the family including Perth Art Gallery, the Black Watch Castle and Museum, and the River Tay Way walking route.
