What customers say
Portavadie boasts breathtaking views and top-notch modern amenities, featuring an amazing spa and infinity pool. Staff are always friendly and helpful. While the location and cleanliness impress many, some campers feel motorhome/camping sites are less prioritized than the marina and lodges, with a few pitches described as basic. A few guests noted issues with water pressure, amenity distance, and on-site service costs. The nearby ferry terminal is a big plus.

Remote getaway
Powered cement/asphalt and grass RV campsite
Liked A remote location to get too (plus ferry from Tarbert) but worth it. Flat site with views across the loch. Use of all the Hotel / Marina facilities which were first class. Dog friendly bar / restaurant (geordi barman was great). We sat in the mezzanine and ate pizza from the takeaway menu with some drinks.
Disliked Chemical waste access lid was high up

Wow! What an amazing place in…
Powered cement/asphalt and grass RV campsite
Liked Wow! What an amazing place in the middle of nowhere! But still a perfect location if catching the ferry!
We spent 2 nights here, lovely food, coffees & friendly staff.
We used the spa, loved sitting in the outside hottubs & infinity pool in the rain.
We also made full use of the laundry & drying room facilities.
Its a big yes do it from us!

Excellent place to stop
Powered cement/asphalt and grass RV campsite
Liked The location was breathtaking and the facilities just lovely. A touch of luxury on our road trip.
Disliked It feels wrong to grumble when you're in such an amazing location but the pitch itself was a little soulless and felt simply like a car park. But that's a very minor dislike.

I always love to return to Portavadie.
Powered cement/asphalt and grass RV campsite
Liked Great facilities, incredible views, peaceful. A hidden little gem of a place. I visited the Tighnabruaich Gallery which is mentoring some of Scotland’s amazing emerging artists and showing their work. It is a must to visit if you are in the area. It was the highlight of my visit alongside my usual walking and swimming. ☀️☀️

Overnight is fine but move on to sites more designed for campervans.
Powered cement/asphalt and grass RV campsite
Liked Beautiful location with lovely views over Loch Fyne. The showers and facilities are very clean and well maintained.
Disliked The motor home park is basically a car park. The electric supply was great but the water kept running out ( low pressure issue) and no washing up facilities ( we used the sink in the laundry). The intended market at Portavadie is the marina and luxury lodges. The site ( pricey shop and restaurant/bar) is aimed at luxury lifestylers rather than campervanners. So as an overnight stop it works but don’t plan a longer stay.
