Good size pitches. Entertainment on the weekend and fires welcome.
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Arrived at 11.30am to be told we could not get on the pitch until 2pm so drove into Cheddar to pass the time. Arrived back at the site to rain !! This then prevented us putting up the awning as the rain was not planning on stopping. So unfortunately due to the weather we did not get the full experience of this site. They have entertainment on but nothing under cover. £49 for one night stay with no electric and not able to get on the pitch until 2pm. Weather spoiled our experience unfortunately but would like to go back in the sunshine. Bit pricey for a nights stay.
Disliked £49 for no electric, two adults, one child and a dog- bit pricey

From the manager: We very much look forward to welcoming you back in warmer times!
Our arrival times and our early arrival option are made very clear on booking - sorry you missed those.
We charge per person as we think that's fairer, as each person gets to enjoy our above-average facilities and free entertainment!
Hope to welcome you personally next time and join you for a beer :)
Warm regards

A relaxed and friendly campsite in an excellent location
Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked We liked the warm welcome, the relaxed atmosphere and the overall standard of the facilities. Our hard standing pitch, with electric hook up was peaceful and the site is very dog friendly. A brief stroll into Cheddar, and a lovely 7 mile loop walk across the Mendips and through the plain. We highly recommend the pizza evening at the Cheddar Ales brewery just a 5 min walk away.
Disliked The coffee from the machine in the shop.

Stayed in a large grassy pitch…
Powered grass campsite
Liked Stayed in a large grassy pitch with hook up in my campervan with the dogs. Hook up and topping up credit was hassle free. The site was well located and it was a quick and easy walk into the village. Everything within the site was well sign posted and explained. Some really cool vehicles that look possible to book to stay! Staff were all very helpful and friendly!
