  • Well-kept family-friendly Dorset site 10 minutes’ drive from Wareham
  • Monkey World 10 minutes’ drive and Studland Bay 25 minutes
  • Electric hook-ups and hot showers; pubs and shops 10 minutes’ drive
Whatever your reason to head for the West County – beach holidays, family sightseeing, walking or watersports – Mill Paddock Campsite has got all bases covered. This small site is around 10 minutes’ drive from Jurassic Coast beaches and Monkey World - Ape Rescue Centre; it’s also right by the Purbeck Way, and only a short stroll from paddleboarding adventures along the River Frome. With no designated pitches, you can set up wherever you like on the level, well-maintained and family-friendly camping field, which has electric hook-ups and water points dotted around its perimeter. The modern facilities block houses showers, toilets and washing-up sinks – it’s cleaned regularly and there’s always plenty of hot water. There are mature trees edging the field if you’re after shade, picnic tables are provided for alfresco dining and firepits are welcome so you can all gather around and enjoy being together. Logs are available to purchase on site at a low price, and pretty everything you need for outdoor evenings can be found in the shops, pubs and restaurants of Wareham (10 minutes’ drive). Well-behaved dogs are welcome to join in all the family fun, and guest numbers are always limited so the field never feels overcrowded; this also allows a safe environment for children to play in – and there’s a treehouse for them to muck around in too.

Power optional grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Another great stay at Mill Paddock. Very generous sized pitches, flat field.
Facilities are fine and clean.
Laid back site, fires permitted.
Looking forward to going back.

Disliked Got visited by ants again but less than last time. It's nature so not the sites fault at all and probably not over the whole site but be aware.

Power optional grass travel trailer campsite

Liked Lovely small well looked after site. Paul, Abbie and Matthew are amazing people. They do what they can when they can. Abbie added personal touches, magic flames for the fire pit and marshmallows one evening. Matthew what a lovely lad, delivering fire pits and logs. We will be returning, absolutely enjoyed staying.

Disliked Ant issue, but Paul was straight to our pitch to rectify this. Cannot fault anything.

Power optional grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Open space. Really relaxed atmosphere. The amenities were decent and the person who greeted us was so friendly and helpful and told us little hidden gems to visit which were amazing! This was our first time using our new campervan and what a great start!

Disliked Nothing. I really liked it. Seriously helpful staff.

Power optional grass travel trailer campsite

Liked Feeling of space and peace.
Really friendly owners who checked in to see if we were happy or there were any problems.
No road noise.
Able to hire fire pits. We didn't use one as it is a hot summer but nice to know that you could hire one if needed.
Plentiful hot water for washing up and showering

Disliked Nothing really.
There is nothing to do in the immediate area but we knew this when we booked
