What customers say
Newhaye Farm provides a quiet, rustic camping trip with lovely country views. Guests rave about the super friendly owner, Eona, and the site's tranquil vibe. Facilities are decent, with flushing toilets and an outdoor shower, though a bit basic. The ground can be rocky, so bring strong tent stakes. Some guests suggest more restrooms, but improvements are underway. Great for exploring nearby beaches and towns.

Primitive grass and earth tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Very relaxing, back to nature feel etc. Eona relaxed & made me feel v welcome.
Disliked Main toilet block not working so only a composting toilet (more civilised than it sounds) & WC at the house available.
I was only there for a quick overnight stay do didn’t try the showers.
Other campers seemed happy with the setup.

Primitive grass and earth tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked There was an email sent by Eona (the owner) when booking which covered the details of the site and any particular issues. The site itself is very near to Lyme Regis and the coast but quiet and with clear night skies.
I appreciated the hot shower which is open to the sky and Eona keeps the site clean daily and usually stops to have a friendly chat when around.
Disliked It can be easy to miss the turning for the site from the main road so best to use what3words which is sent in the welcome email.

Owner was welcoming.
Bell tent
Liked We only stayed for 1 night and it was pleasant. Had all the stuff that you would expect and had toilets, showers and somewhere to clean your plates. We didn’t bring any cooking stuff with us as there was meant to be a bbq but given the no bbq announcement we were unable to use it, but this was no fault of the farm. It was very peaceful and the owner the lovely and friendly, her Labrador was friendly and came to visit us all throughout our stay. Wish we had booked 2 nights to enjoy it more as spent most of our time driving around to get food.
Disliked On arrival there was no signage to state which was our bell tent. Check in was from 10.30 and we didn’t arrive till gone 2pm and it still wasn’t set up fully. Was told that we would have a picnic bench but found out there’s only 1 of these between 4 tents. The owner did bring us spare chairs and a table which did the job. Once we got into the tent the kids had unzipped the little window shutters to find gone off biscuits shoved in there, so the tent had clearly not been cleaned properly.

Liked Lovely chilled place to stay. Back to basics camping in a great location, with the facilities you need. If you like a no frills, value for money, friendly site, check it out, you won’t be disappointed.
Disliked Nothing. The sign could be closer to the road- we missed it twice 😂

Liked Price, view, Back to Basics, Quiet, very friendy owner
Disliked A bit tricky to find (Signpost to the farm cannot be seen if arriving from Lyme Regis). Lack of adequate drainage (both Washing up & the toilets) was a bit off-putting.
