Wonderful Camp Site
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked The playbus was so much fun on Thursday (became busy on weekend) and the pub is beautiful and both staff and management lovely- really caring and they treat staff really well - it’s a well run pub and campsite. Had bbq and fire too!
Having a campsite at a pub is a novelty and we could spend lots of time in the comfy seating and shade during the hot periods. We had a great time. There’s crazy golf too which looked fun but we didn’t do it.
This is a really lovely place and understandable that it gets busy because it’s such a fab place!
Disliked We booked two nights and left after first night as it became too busy on Friday (August weekend is peak I guess). It’s understandable to be busy but we had too many tents, kids and dogs roaming around our tent that we couldn’t relax as we’d hoped. It was a nice atmosphere but just wasn’t our scene.
There was no soap in three dispensers on first day but this was quickly attended to. One toilet was messy but I’m certain it was a small child who had been just before we took our kids (understandable). Other than that the toilets and showers felt clean and looked after.
It’s a great place and not a lot to dislike.

Lovely quiet rural location with lots…
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Lovely quiet rural location with lots of walks available directly from the site. Nice pub & dining area to rear. Nice grassy camping area - levelling choks needed in some locations. Nice clean toilets, hot showers & washing up area. Staff very friendly.

The bell tents that we stayed…
Gaggle bell tent (four person)
Liked The bell tents that we stayed in were great, they were well equipped and very clean!
Disliked We were listening to music, on a low volume, around 10pm all having a great time and then we were interrupted by a rude lady, that was a member of staff, who asked us to turn the music off completely, we completely understood that it was late and was happy to turn the music off but her manor was very rude and put a downer on the whole mood

From the manager: Sorry to hear that you felt our staff were rude to you. They had to intervene because other campers had complained about the noise your group were making. Out of respect to our neighbours and other campers we do ask for it to be a quiet camp from 10pm. This guidance is explained to all campers on arrival and on the displayed information. Disappointing that despite this, we still had to intervene. And obviously frustrating that you left a poor review - starkly different from the vast majority of others.
Cosy, relaxed campsite with lovely clean facilities and good food
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Loved the vibe on the campsite from immediately entering the pub to check-in, to being greeted by the lovely border-collie, to having a delicious roast in the pub on Sunday and right through til leaving on Monday. Lovely atmosphere and never too busy while we were there.
Disliked Nothing - all was fab!

Blissful.
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked Blissful! We had the best break thanks to the fact that our child was so wholesomely entertained. Gleefully playing with other children, safely running between the pitch and the playbus. And to top it all, the site is nestled in the most beautiful rural location.

Excellent! clean facilities, friendly staff and mostly level pitches
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked A very friendly site behind a pub. Excellent facilities for camping well maintained facilities. Even though it was very busy, all campers were very respectful and it became quiet quite shortly after 10 o’clock.
Disliked Nothing really, but if you want an exceptionally quiet sight in the middle of nowhere this might not be the place for you. It is behind the pub which is excellent for us!

Great place for a short camping trip with family and friends.
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked The location is spot on and so much for the children to do; the fun bus, the goats, lots of space to run around, the orchard and spacious tent pitches. Not to mention the pub itself!
The facilities are really nice and clean and not busy.
