What customers say

This peaceful, small campground offers spacious, level sites with stunning valley views. Facilities are excellent, clean, and well-maintained, with hot showers. Staff are friendly and helpful, creating a relaxed atmosphere. Though remote and accessed via narrow lanes, it's convenient for the Camel Trail and local walks. Midges and a desire for more charging options were minor issues. Visitors highly recommend it for tranquility and amenities, with many planning return visits.

Primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite

Liked One of the best campsites we ever been. Beautiful views. Very big pitches, so far away from other campers. Toilets, showers and kitchenette to wash dishes provided in very clean conditions. You can see them from the end of the camp but not to bring lights. Owner very helpful but still giving you all the privacy you need. Definitely recommended place. Would visit again.

Primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite

Liked The most perfect place to camp. I stayed with my 5 yo. He loved the play area and I loved how quiet and peaceful it was, and the view as the sun is setting is unbelievable.
I set up in a non pitch area (I didn’t even notice the grass squares that a cut out into sections) they even let me stay where I pitched up as I had already set my tent up.
Thank you! My bad!
I will definitely be revisiting again! Thanks again.

Disliked One camper let there dog roam around and it basically took a dump outside my tent and around the back.

Bell tent

Liked The campsite was in a secluded but lovely area with great views, especially sunsets. We stayed in a bell tent which was so well thought out and had everything you needed for a camping trip. The toilets and showers were lovely and clean and the option to borrow battery packs and ice packs was very helpful. My children loved using the fire pit as a campfire and roasting marshmallows. Hopefully we will be back next year.

Primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite

Liked We had such a fantastic stay here! We are well rehearsed campers and if I could rate a site 5+ I would! This site is beautifully kept, really clean and perfectly located within 20-30 minutes drive for most of the popular sites to explore the area. Facilities were spotless and well looked after and the pitches were spacious with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Kaya was extremely friendly and welcoming and it really felt like she had thought of all the little touches that make a camping trip stress-free and enjoyable - logs & firepits available, fresh freezer blocks and games if needed! The atmosphere was peaceful, family and dog friendly and we left already planning our return visit.

Friday night pizzas from the Snail Pace Cafe were a must! The Camelford trail is great for those who have bikes or dogs. We also visits by car Tintagel, Port Isaac, Rock, Charles Town, Wadebridge and Padstow during our stay here with ease.

Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing, quiet and well-run campsite with a short distance to drive to a lot of popular tourist destinations or make use of the cameltrail!

Local attractions

Feeling thirsty? Get set for very mellow times at Camel Valley Vineyard (15 minutes' drive/an hour by bike via the Camel Trail), where tours, tastings and wine by the glass (or bottle) are available for fans of English red, white and sparkling wine. Not that you'll want to be sampling their wares on an empty stomach – but there are plenty of foodie spots in Wadebridge (20 minutes' drive), Padstow (30 minutes) and Polzeath (30 minutes) to see to that… As well as the Camel Trail, popular biking spots include Cardinham Woods (20 minutes) on the southern edge of Bodmin Moor and Old Hill Bike Park (10 minutes), a family-oriented set of circuits with all-weather trails ranging from green (balance bikes suitable) through to black (experienced riders only). If horseback travel's the thing, you're also just over two miles from Hallagenna Riding, an equestrian centre with activities for all abilities. Handily, Camp De Lank is within an easy half-hour drive of the Eden Project, where huge tropical domes will take you off to all sorts of far-flung habitats.
