Liked Really enjoyed our stay at Bucket & Spade. Lovely spacious plots in a peacefull setting & very quiet. Really liked the individual bathrooms with toilet shower & sink all in one large room. Very clean.

Liked Site and facilities were clean, nicely laid out and quiet. Great space to walk dogs, shop nearby and good food at the local pub which is also dog friendly.

Liked Neat. Tidy. Cosy campsite. New shower blocks. Pub nearby (5 min walk) has great food. Close proximity to some lovely beaches.

Disliked Confusion around tents. Do they or don’t they allow tents? Pictures on Pitch Up show tents. This needs to be made crystal clear.

Liked Very clean and tidy, great bathrooms, good security gate, access to footpath.

Disliked Very open site so is subject to high wind. No free WiFi.

Liked The pitch and the facilities were all fresh clean and new.

Disliked Unfortunately there was a strong smell of cow manure. I don’t think this is the usual. Maybe a farmer was spraying a field.

Liked Location. Very handy for an easy trip to Selsey, West Wittering and Chichester.
Very clean shower and toilet facilities and a nice welcome.

Disliked Pitch we were on was near a busy road, but to be fair we were late booking so the pitches further back were good.

Elsewhere along the coast, take walks around the Chichester Harbour Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (five minutes) or out to Selsey Bill (10 minutes), or go wildlife-spotting at Pagham Harbour Local Nature Reserve (15 minutes). To get a sense of the area’s history, a trip to Weald & Downland Living Museum (15 minutes) is a must – the various exhibits, demonstrations and buildings are great for getting kids intrigued in times gone by. There’s more history to soak up at Fishbourne Roman Palace (10 minutes) and around Chichester (10 minutes), where top recommendations include the cathedral, Pallant House Gallery and Festival Theatre. For alternative activities, perhaps you’d fancy playing a round at Chichester Golf Club (five minutes) – or maybe sampling the top-notch sparkling wines on a tour and tasting at Tinwood Estate vineyard (15 minutes).
