  • Superbly located Surrey campsite with easy motorway access
  • Thorpe Park, Windsor Castle and Legoland Windsor within 30 mins' drive
  • On the banks of the River Thames, with Thames Path access
What a handy camping spot this is… Laleham Camping Club has easy access to the M3 and M25 motorways, it’s close to Heathrow airport and Staines railway station is only about 10 minutes’ drive away for easy jaunts to the capital. On top of all that, there are all sorts of attractions within easy reach, including Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventures, Windsor Castle and Legoland Windsor. And if that all sounds a bit exhausting, it’s good to know that the location within London’s protected Green Belt means you’ll have peaceful surroundings for relaxing on site. The River Thames runs alongside, giving you access to the Thames Path for walks and bike rides, or to the water for kayaking, paddleboarding and swims. The nearest major urban centre is Staines, accessible by car, bus or a walk along the riverbank and with a good collection of shops and restaurants, plus a cinema. Closer to home, Laleham village is 10 minutes’ stroll away, and has a convenience store and a choice of three pubs. The folk that run this Surrey site haven’t just relied on their location, though – they’ve made sure the place is a comfortable place to stay, with a good number of facilities including a launderette, free hot showers and handy extras including hairdryers and shaver points. Chillout time is well spent here too – there’s a small play park with sandpit in the centre of the site, and a wet-weather room with Sky TV, a pool table, table tennis and a dartboard. Next door in Laleham Park there’s an outdoor gym, a bigger play park and plenty of space to play games or walk dogs.

What customers say

Great riverside spot, loved by families for its friendly staff, clean space, and kids' activities. Close to theme parks and London, but can get aircraft noise. Facilities are a bit dated but tidy.

Primitive grass campsite

Liked Lovely small site, peaceful, facilities clean, good water pressure and heat. Easy access and sensible one way system. Lovely location, the River Thames on one side and a gorgeous well maintained park on the other, great for dogs and also great having no extra charge for the dogs. Also lovely wild birds if you like your wildlife. Even as a solo female traveller I felt safe and welcome.

Disliked 2 dog limit.

Primitive grass campsite

Liked Laleham camping site was a great place to stay. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The site and amenities were well kept.
The site was peaceful with a nice view of the river.

Disliked Slight sound disturbance from Heathrow near by but soon becomes back ground noise. Light sleepers may struggle but we did not find it an issue.

Primitive grass campsite

Liked Not only is the site close to Thorpe Park as mentioned in other reviews it also makes a good stop over for visiting Hampton Court & Brooklands Museum. These historic sites are much more interesting and educational! 😉 It is a level site with good facilities sat alongside the Thames within walking distance of a number of pubs
