  • Superbly located Surrey campsite with easy motorway access
  • Thorpe Park, Windsor Castle and Legoland Windsor within 30 mins' drive
  • On the banks of the River Thames, with Thames Path access
What a handy camping spot this is… Laleham Camping Club has easy access to the M3 and M25 motorways, it’s close to Heathrow airport and Staines railway station is only about 10 minutes’ drive away for easy jaunts to the capital. On top of all that, there are all sorts of attractions within easy reach, including Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventures, Windsor Castle and Legoland Windsor. And if that all sounds a bit exhausting, it’s good to know that the location within London’s protected Green Belt means you’ll have peaceful surroundings for relaxing on site. The River Thames runs alongside, giving you access to the Thames Path for walks and bike rides, or to the water for kayaking, paddleboarding and swims. The nearest major urban centre is Staines, accessible by car, bus or a walk along the riverbank and with a good collection of shops and restaurants, plus a cinema. Closer to home, Laleham village is 10 minutes’ stroll away, and has a convenience store and a choice of three pubs. The folk that run this Surrey site haven’t just relied on their location, though – they’ve made sure the place is a comfortable place to stay, with a good number of facilities including a launderette, free hot showers and handy extras including hairdryers and shaver points. Chillout time is well spent here too – there’s a small play park with sandpit in the centre of the site, and a wet-weather room with Sky TV, a pool table, table tennis and a dartboard. Next door in Laleham Park there’s an outdoor gym, a bigger play park and plenty of space to play games or walk dogs.

What customers say

Great spot by the Thames, with roomy pitches & clean facilities. Staff are a ripper! Families love the playground and location. Expect some jet noise from Heathrow, and facilities can get a bit hit-and-miss when it's busy. Parking's separate.

Liked The location is good, river is nice and there is a bigger park next to the site, close to chargers and shops.

Disliked The pitch was quite uneven, which made setting up a bit tricky. We were placed right next to the playground and football area, so our tent was frequently hit by stray balls—something to be aware of if you’re looking for a quieter spot.

Toilets were often out of paper and not well maintained. They were consistently wet and messy, largely due to kids running in and out covered in sand. It could really benefit from more regular cleaning and restocking.

People were loud well after the 11pm quiet time, the plane and road noisy is also a lot.

Liked Our first camping experience as a family, just bought a van. Lovely owners who waited for us to close reception as we got stuck in some traffic, check in was super easy, facilities were great (clean) and lots for our children to do. Location was great, we needed somewhere close to Chessington world of adventures.

Disliked Nothing!

I stayed with my family for a few nights and visited the area. Facilities were good and clean, showers hot and bins etc all clearly labelled to make life easy.
