  • Family-friendly pop-up site five minutes’ drive from Milford on Sea
  • Hurst Castle five minutes’ drive; New Forest National Park 10 minutes
  • Dogs welcome; weekly pizza nights; no set pitches
Old-school and family-friendly, Muddycreek Farm is a pop-up site opening for four weeks in the summer to tents and campervans looking for a Hampshire holiday. The site is well placed for both woodland and seaside days, sitting as it does on the edge of the New Forest National Park (10 minutes’ drive) and within a short drive of the shingle beach at Milford on Sea (five minutes, or a 25-minute walk). From Milford on Sea, you can take a panoramic stroll along the cliffside path overlooking the colourful beach huts all the way to Barton on Sea (one hour and 20 minutes). There, you can take a breather on the pebble beach, where you might catch a glimpse of paragliders launching from the cliffs. The site had a laidback vibe and no set pitches, so guests can park and set up where they like, which means it’s easy to camp together with family and friends. Dogs are welcome guests, and campfires are allowed; best of all (arguably), Friday night is pizza night, with a local company making delicious wood-fired, stone-baked discs of dough. Amenities at Muddycreek Farm include hot showers, proper flushing toilets and a washing-up area. There are no hidden extras; you're welcome to bring as many tents, gazebos and cars as you need.

Primitive grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked The campsite is vast and there was loads of space to pitch up. We usually go for adults only campsites but in this case it's easy to see that the kids have plenty of space to run around and have fun without bothering the fellow campers, which was actually very nice and quite wholesome.
Very good toilets. Short walk to the town and beautiful beaches within 15 min drive.
Would come back.

Primitive grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Lovely stay on this simple, well run, family-friendly campsite. Location is great. Hosts were friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Pop up pizza on Friday night was a highlight - delicious and generous on the toppings. It got busy over the weekend but not so much that it detracted from ourcstay. We didnt envounter any noise issues. Would definitely stay again!

Disliked Not the cheapest but not stupidly expensive either and definitely worth it!

Primitive grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Site was nice, staff were friendly and was well equipped

Disliked Large group of people pitched up right behind us when everyone else left plenty of space between eachother. They were loud all night and not respectful of us or other campers. We packed up that night and left as our toddler kept getting woken up by them

From the manager: We are so sorry that you were disturbed by a nearby group. We work very hard trying to make sure that everyone observes the 10pm quiet time. We are usually on site and I issue an email to all our campers with my mobile no to call if there is a problem. It's a shame that you didn't let us know so that we could have done something about it.

Primitive grass and earth campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked Large field overlooking some fields with horses in. This kept the children happy petting the horses. The facilities were great. Showers warm and strong. Walking distance to the beach (25mins)

Disliked It felt wrong making wild fires! But there were bricks to contain the fire pit. No bbq for hire.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: I feel that I should point out that there are no 'Wild Fires' allowed at our campsite! We do allow small campfires on the ground surrounded by bricks when the ground conditions allow. You are more than welcome to bring a fire pit if you feel more comfortable with that. Either way all the fire safety rules have to be observed.
