Muddycreek Farm

A aimé Muddy Creek was a great find, by accident, I much prefer no set pitches, being able to pick a suitable spot, within reason, it’s more relaxed and, that’s the general feel of the campsite which is quiet, and really welcoming.
The bar is a lovely touch for a relaxed drink in the evening, along with the pizza truck, and breakfast box.
The location is great, a short walk to town and the beach, and a short drive to lots of things to see and do.
The owners are great, friendly, welcoming, and set the tone for the site.
I will definitely stay again, and would recommend.

N'a pas aimé I’m nitpicking, but if i had to list a negative it would be the men’s toilets, which, could probably do with upgrading.

Réponse du gestionnaire : Thank you for your review. We have since clarified what you meant by the lack of washing facilities, and understand that your wife would have preferred a wash basin within a private cubicle rather than using the showers.

We do provide wash hand basins in the ladies’ facilities and in our outdoor washing-up area, although these are not located within individual private cubicles. As a pop-up campsite, our facilities have to be completely removed at the end of our 28-day season, which does limit what we are able to provide compared with a permanent campsite.

We do, however, take great care to keep our facilities clean and provide unlimited free hot water in the showers, wash hand basins and washing-up areas.

We are sorry that the facilities did not meet your wife’s particular needs, although we do feel that describing the washing facilities as “inadequate” is rather unfair given the facilities we do provide.

A aimé It was my son's very first camping experience. We lived it!
The staff we encountered were so lovely and welcoming. The facilities were great. They were clean and all working. The grass was lovely anc short which pitching a lot easier.

A aimé Very welcoming and friendly. Lots of space between each set up. Showers were free and hot. Local pizza company there on the Friday I arrived and made great pizzas. The little bar was a great social area with a local ale and lovely cocktails. Small but nicely done.

Toilets clean.

A nice and relaxed site.

A aimé Nice level site, good showers, though a bit of a walk from where we camped. Ideal for an overnight stop.

N'a pas aimé Entrance to campsite was difficult to spot, along the busy road, and was quite narrow for our med size van. Constant traffic noise, but thats sadly the case at many campsites these days.

We do have campsite signs up in the entrance and also provide very good directions in our information emails but as a temporary site we can’t have any other signage sadly.

I’m sorry that you found the road noisy. It isn’t a main road but it does seem to be increasingly busy but if traffic noise bothers you then you can camp the other end of the campsite where you can’t hear the road at all.

A aimé My very first camping experience was absolutely amazing with MuddyCreek Farm. Everything you could possibly need for an enjoyable relaxing stay. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I loved everything. Super local to the beach long walks and shops.
