Small hillside primitive grass tent campsite
Liked: Quiet and peaceful. Felt quite private wifh the trees around and sheltered. Easy no-fuss admission. I really liked the attention to energy and water saving and the recycling availability was the best I have seen at a campsite. Clearly labelled and well-provisioned with bins for everything. It was an ideal, simple but very well serviced campsite. I also liked the locker system with charging provision. Very much appreciated!

Liked: Nice little site, lots of attention to detail and it's clearly well looked after by the owners. Facilities all super clean and readily available. Fire pits at the pitches and bags of wood available for a reasonable price, but you can bring your own too which is nice! Compost loo near the tents which is handy in the night!! If you can bag the top pitch, the view is great. Second time staying here and I'll be back! I paid £16 for a night, which is super good value in this part of the world! (I didn't try the WiFi, I had decent 4G connection)

Small hillside primitive grass tent campsite
Liked: Amazing location. 5 minutes drive from Windermere and pretty central base from which to explore the Lake District.
Very idyllic and peaceful. Each plot is secluded and beautifully landscaped with amazing views, a lot of thought has been put into it.
Facilities are great, well maintained and never more than a minutes walk away no matter where you are on site.
Owners are very welcoming and accommodating, happy to help.
Addition of the campfire is also a nice touch, not a lot of places allow it so it is very appreciated.
Seems a very eco-conscious site too which is great to see. Being in the lakes and surrounded by such great landscapes it’s nice to see a campsite which is considerate of their environment.

Shepherd's hut (mountain view)
