Gostou I liked pretty much everything about it!
Lovely kept property and surroundings as you arrive, parking at the bottom of the hill clearly marked and safe.
Great little land on the hills. Views were amazing, really clean and sufficient amenities there. Very kind owner Malcolm.
Fire pit on each pitch which were surprisingly level considering you are on a large hill. He's put in lovely little touches like free to use charging stations, sheltered hot shower, a 'gear cart ' to help with your gear up the hill and a free to use freezer for ice packs, perfect. Each station, pitch and rubbish bins etc all had a clear notice on to keep everything right and tidy.
As a first time solo camper I had only research and words from friends about the cost of pitching up like this, and Ings kippers hill top camp site are really well priced, you get alot for your money in all honesty.
They've really thought about it all alot, having drinking water stations dotted over the site including right at the top of the hill, the pitch I chose when arrived. A camp library cabinet. There were clearly marked bins available at the top and bottom of the hill even a little washing up water station aswell!
The site was well looked after, clean and friendly.
Fully recommended site for solo travellers, couples, friends and even if you wanted to bring your child.

Gostou beautiful location, on a good bus route. nice private pitches and the barbecue/ fire pit laid on was a nice touch. very friendly and helpful owners!

Não gostou it’s a fairly steep walk from the car/ shower up to the top pitches- not normally an issue but difficult to pitch up/down in the rain.

Gostou It's the second time I've been to this site and it has everything you may require. Althought, it is a non electric pitch, there facilities for shower, charging your phone, a freezer you have access to and a fire pit. Plus it's in an ideal location for both the Fairfield and Kentmere horseshoe. I totally recommend it. And it's always a quiet spot if that's what you're looking for.

Gostou great views at the top of the hill, but semi private pitches are amazing, there are a couple of completely private ones but most are two tents per section, with bushes and trees surrounding the pitches.

Não gostou you can't really tell from the pictures but this is a very steep hill that you have to walk to in order to reach the pitches, meaning I had to leave my motorcycle away from my tent which isn't the end of the world as they provide a little trolley to get your gear up there

Gostou Beautiful campsite with gorgeous views. Great location on the road into windermere. Lockers for charging phones. Excellent clean shower and toilet facilities. We loved the fire pit and buying wood on site was convenient.

Não gostou It really is on a hill! I read it but didn't quite take in its on a hill!

Gostou We enjoyed the peace it is a nice place to camp at, we had a table in our pitch and the facilities were great. We hiked to Windermere from the campsite a very nice route and went to the local pub for tea and the farm cafe for breakfast, both very close.
