What customers say
This intimate, serene campground by the river is a family favorite. Reviewers rave about the friendly staff, spotless amenities, and nearby park with an outdoor pool (reservations advised, fee applies). Some found the trek to restrooms long and dim, and the grounds can get muddy in bad weather. Spotty cell service.

Powered grass campsite
Liked Lovely community run facility, small, well kept, and friendly. Perfect for the kids to run wild on the grass and in the park. With walks along the river and into the village and beyond. Community run swimming pool next door, payable through their website. Will be back next year.

Great small place. Definitely recommend
Powered grass campsite
Liked Great little site. Only stayed one night. Easy to find, straight in to a small field. No messing about, all information was on an email ecived 2 days before arrival date.
Just chose our own space and put name and car reg on the tent.
Made use of the swimming pool. Id say slightly expensive at £7 per person for what it is but absolutely happy to pay it as it obviously goes on the upkeep and maintenance of this small community pool.
Lovely little kids park aswell. My boys loved it.
Id definitely come again and spend more time, with only 10 pitches it makes it feel like a small community.

Thumbs up
Powered grass campsite
Liked Great little campsite run by helpful volunteers. Everyone enjoyed using the swimming pool next door and the beautiful river walk alongside.
Disliked Pitches very close to one another, so it was impossible to put the tents the recommended distance apart. Didn't really bother us, and would definitely use this site again.

Powered grass campsite
Liked This site was better than expected, a small intermit site with all clean facilities, the volunteer grounds man could not do enough for us, each day he popped in to see everyone and when the branches were going to hit our caravan as we backed it in, he was straight up there resolving the issue.

Powered grass campsite
Liked Great atmosphere and staff, easy to pitch up and a short walk to shops
Pool was a great amenity bit highly recommend booking in advance
The proximity to the playground was brilliant for my 7 year old who enjoyed making their own way back and forth and felt very safe at all times
Disliked The walk to the toilets isn't a deal breaker but the access point being on the main road is somewhat challenging but a minor issue
