What customers say
This small, community-run site gets rave reviews for its peaceful riverfront setting and great amenities like a playground and a popular outdoor pool. Friendly, helpful staff and volunteers are a constant highlight. While some found the facilities basic and a bit of a trek, especially at night, most guests loved their stay and want to return, especially families with young kids.

Very overpriced and tight track
Powered grass campsite
Liked Quiet area and the community project is good. The gesture of a £5 voucher for the local pub was kind.
Disliked I really feel for the site as it's a community project however.... it's not managed and other campers take up allowed space which is awkward. This is a VERY expensive campsite with 1 tap for all 10 pitches, the waste and toilets were a walk away and down a single track where all the cars come in and out. Our caravan is 2.3m wide... Nothing more is getting down that track. Despite best intentions to modernise the site the facilities aren't clean and they had no hot water to the washing up area due to builders. The team really try their best but for the price it doesn't cut it. This was our last stay from a week away and we stayed at places for half the price that were better ran. The pool wasn't open (which we knew) but we were shocked to realise this wouldn't have been included in the camp site fee.
Such a shame but wouldn't come back.
