Liked Everything was great , communication really good , helpful and friendly, lovely views and not far from Keswick with a good bus service almost on the doorstep so we didn’t have to move the camper
Disliked The only thing I’d say is that there’s no signage saying the name of the site anywhere , there is another site near the top of the drive so initially it was a little confusing as to if we were at the right place

overall a good place to stop

Liked the site was very good, pitches good, toilets and showers all clean.
Lovely veiws
Disliked No signs for the site from the road or even as we arrived on site, as there is no reception we were not sure if we were in the right place

From the manager: Hi Michael
Thank you for your review, we send directions with pictures to assist to show exactly where the site is on the morning of arrival, unfortunately we are not permitted to have road side signage by the Lake District National Park Planning Authority as if we had a sign it would set a precedent for all. We have however just had a new Braithwaite Farm sign erected by the local highways at the end of the road and that has proven to be a big help but I do appreciate if you hadn't read the welcome information and seen the picture step by step guide of where we are it isn't so easy. To help future guests with this we are also on Google Maps and if you type in The Willows Keswick it brings you right to the campsite. It does say on Pitch Up on our site information that we don't have a reception so guests are aware of this when booking as we live just behind the farm buildings we are always just a phone call away. I really appreciate your feedback as it does all really help us and also other guests who I know read both your review and our responses so thank you again.

Lovely 3 night break in may 26
Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked The location , just a 10 minute drive into keswick, the size of this touring park - not too big , and the electric hook up & water on each pitch made life easy.
The toilets & shower facilities are very modern lovely & clean & there are even toiletries provided - shower gels, soaps etc - the showers were just the right temperature , a lot of thought has gone into making this site comfortable & mostly practical & it is a great base for exploring the area.
Finally the owner / manager lady is very hardworking & friendly and knows the area well useful for ideas on places to visit 😀
We will be back.
Disliked Only one problem really - the pot washing facilities are 'inside' one of the shower / toilet rooms ( 3 of these in same block) and that means if somebody is using the loo or shower the outer door is locked & you have to wait to wash up.... almost every sight I have stayed on put the 'pot washing ' area outside under a shelter ... 🤔

From the manager: Hi Mark,
Thanks so much for your review, we are currently working on the pot wash and hopefully come Autumn the middle toilet is being made into a pot wash area and small drying area , but I will see if we can get a make-shift outside sink sorted in the meanwhile. It's the first time anyone has commented on it but if it's something I need to change I definitely will. Thanks again for staying and your feedback is really appreciated as it all helps to make it better, thank you

Great location and place to stay with access to the lakes & transport
Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Great pitch, EHU with water, level hard standing, great views and fantastic weather.
Disliked Though the pitches were a little too close together, felt a little too close for comfort at times.
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Thank you for your review Denis, I am sorry you felt you were too close to the other pitches, sometimes inevitably if everyone aims for the same side of the site it can happen, I hope to see you again,
Lindsey
