In reply to your review I try to ensure in the photo gallery (where the images are not enhanced) that the site is shown as it is, a fully hard standing campsite with great views and that although being exactly what you described seems to have been missed by you when you booked. You are correct with your comments that the pitches are rough and ready, as shown in the 100+ images, and the toilet block is indeed basic, again shown in the 100+ images, but with that in mind the toilets as reflected in previous reviews are clean and the showers are excellent. We remain the cheapest pitch per night in the area with no minimum stay and thats in spite of having some of the best views available in the area. I hope for any future bookings you make you look through the gallery so that you dont impact the owners review score because you failed to look at where you were booking as you have done with mine. Syntes om We loved how small and quiet this site is. Ideal for Braithwaite, Bassenthwaite, Keswick and Derwentwater and the site looks out towards Skiddaw. All in all, a great place and a convenient base for exploring. Toilets are well maintained and the pitches are spacious.

Syntes om All facilities were great for our overnight stay and a short walk to the local Village .Bus stop nearby for going into Keswick and further .

Fra bestyreren: Good morning, thank you for your review, we try and be around as much as possible but during your stay we were on our honeymoon in Portugal and the site was being looked after by our daughter who was kept extremely busy so sorry again you didnt catch her, she was down at the site daily cleaning the tents, sheperds huts and of course toilets so its a shame. Really pleased you enjoyed the facilities and your right we are superbly located with the bus stops and the bus service is brilliant :-) Look forward to welcoming you back in the future, Lindsey

Syntes om Lovely level site. Quiet, even though it's next to a small business park - I did have some fast jets passing overhead one afternoon, which was great. Lovely view over fields. Toilets and showers really clean and well kept. Indoor washing up area.

Syntes ikke om Communication about the booking didn't go well. Though I found it and stayed ok so no problem.

Syntes om The owners were lovely, helpful and friendly. The site was clean, with 3 separate toilet blocks, all with showers, heating and hot water and there was a indoor area for washing up. Really good wi-fi and bins on site, plus individual electrical hook up and water tap.
The walk to the village was just over the road and we tried 2 pubs, both nice. We also walked to Keswick via their field, which was about 2 miles, with lots of shops, pubs and restaurants.

Syntes om The simplicity and size of the site; EHU and water available on the pitches along with a good (free) shower and toilets with loo roll always available.

The sites location to Keswick and access to public transport was a real draw along with the footpaths available from site.

Absolutely perfect spot!

Syntes ikke om Nothing the site has control over; just a dog owner allowing their dog to run around from their safari tent.
