What customers say
This peaceful campsite boasts stunning scenery & great walks. Campers loved the clean, basic facilities (hot showers!) & friendly owners. River access & a local pub were highlights. Some found phone signal poor & showers a walk away, with occasional midges & firm ground. A great back-to-basics option.

Lovely peaceful site in beautiful location, space/facilities limited
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Location, views, river for swimming and paddling, good clean facilities, friendly owners, level pitches
Disliked Only one cubicle in men's and 2 ladies wasnt really enough when campsite was busy, we had D of E groups several nights which meant a lot of people to share the toilets.
Not really any open space for the kids to play ball games etc

Excellent site for those who want to be out in nature.
Primitive grass campervan campsite
Liked Great location, beautiful surroundings and very rural. Bus stop close by which meant we could leave the campervan. There was a separate campervan to tent area which I liked.
Disliked The pub is only open Thursday to sunday and the shop is only open 10-4, and when we went during those times it was closed. But this didn't spoil anything.

Liked The peaceful location and back to nature feel.
Back to the old school way of camping - pick a spot when you arrive!
Facilities were clean and accessible.

A lovely place but have to be prepared for the distance to showers
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked The calm and relaxing nature and being away from phone reception and no WiFi.
Disliked The shower block being so far from the campsite made no sense when there were toilets and washing up area within metres. This does not make sense and having to go along the road makes it harder if you had children.

Beautiful campsite with an incredibly peaceful steam
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked How clean, tidy and well laid out the camp site was.
The toilets and washing up point was always clean and stocked up, warm water too! Tho it tended to run out for the morning breakfast pot wash.
Pitches were clearly labelled and Daniel was very friendly and informative about the camp.
There is a walk to the showers and it says it's 6 minutes but I'd say it's shorter than that.
Shower cubicles are very large, clean and warm, there's also a separate room with a hair dryer and a freezer for icepacks.
Disliked Would be better to pay per pitch rather than per person but I understand quite a few campsites do charge this way.
