What customers say
Beautiful, peaceful riverside campsite with a welcoming vibe & helpful staff. Well-kept pitches, clean facilities. Great for Western Lakes exploration, near a popular pub. Minor Wi-Fi/facility updates needed, but highly recommended with many returning guests.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked .
Disliked Would not go back, came home a day early due to the noise on the campsite. People next to us were extremely noisy until after 12am, got no sleep due to tractors up and down the road next to us from 3am. Also did not like where we were pitched far too many people crammed onto a small site and lots of cockerals from the house opposite crowing from 4am.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass RV campsite
Liked This is a beautiful, small site, which is quiet. It has been taken over by new owners and the onsite crew are doing their best to ensure everything is getting back to the previous standard. We spoke to them about the plans and they all sound great.
The river was gorgeous as was the scenery. There is currently no shop on site, however the crew team did say this was something that would probably be in operation by the 2026 season.
I do think this site will become a motorhome/caravan site though. The reason is it is very small and the large size of today's tents do not really fit on the space available. There is a grass area for tents, however, it is on a slope and my tent is fussy about slopes. This is the only reason I have selected that I would not stay again. If I ever have a motorhome or caravan, I would.

Powered cement/asphalt and grass RV campsite
Liked Welcomed by the new owners with a smile and shown around. Everything is clean, well looked after grounds and sat in the most idyllic area of the Lakes. The showers are a reasonable price and there is plenty of hot water, all in good working order. The wifi coverage across the site appeared to be very strong apart from in the showers. The pub next door is a great place to grab a hot meal and a well deserved pint
Disliked Nothing to dislike:)

Disliked Hard standing was wood chips, can get messy in van and not ideal if your dogs like eating them
No shop close by
2 x toilet cubicles not enough when it’s really busy
