What customers say
This site's praised for its quiet, rural setting, clean grounds, and roomy spots. Tim, the owner, is called friendly and welcoming. It's adult-only. Facilities are clean and work well, with hot water. Great value for relaxing or exploring nearby. Some noted basic facilities, needing to bring toilet paper and take trash. No on-site transport.

Liked Beautiful peaceful place, Owner Tim was very friendly. Gorgeous area, big field for tents, toilets clean, shower was great. Highly recommend if you have transport.
Disliked Transport. Difficult of you have no transport, no buses, tried ubers and taxi's to no avail, ended up getting a lift of a lovely local lady into town, came back with a local food delivery driver. All worked out in the end.

Liked Everything! Clean campsite, spacious pitches! Felt very safe as I was staying in my own tent. Excellent customer service. I cannot wait to go back
Disliked Not enough facilities, one shower and 2 toilets per site. However these were all very clean so that makes up for it

Wonderful little site, everything you could need in a peaceful setting
Field primitive grass tent campsite
Liked I was the only tent here during my stay and the site is absolutely stunning. The pitches are spacious and the stone table and bench is very useful! I had a lovely welcome by the host who showed me around the facilities. These were perfectly adequate, the shower was hot and refreshing after a day of hiking and the loos were clean and functional. The wash up tap provides wonderfully hot water ( hot enough to fill my hot water bottles ) which made washing up very easy. The pitch itself was flat, clean and clear with lovely views and friendly cow neighbours. My dog loved it here so much she didn't want to get in the car to go home!
Loads to do nearby with the sandstone trail ( I walked out and back northwards on my first afternoon and then south to Whitchurch catching the bus back to Duckington and then walking across to Bickerton from there ). There's plenty of castles and gardens to explore and the brilliant Stretton WaterMill which is a fun little museum!
I typically choose campsites with ice pack freezing or a fridge but the great British weather meant that wasnt much of an issue during my stay. If this was ever added though I would definitely be back for a longer duration and with family!
