  • Peaceful park at a canal marina in Cheshire with 100 acres of walks
  • Nantwich 10 minutes' drive; Oulton Park 20 minutes; Chester 45 minutes
  • Pergola with a café and bar with views across the water
Peaceful and scenic, Aqueduct Marina and Caravan Park is a prime destination for anyone who adores the countryside. Based on the Middlewich Branch of the Shropshire Union Canal in Church Minshull, the Cheshire park also has a great set of marina facilities. Visit the marina’s pergola, where there is a licensed café and bar with views across the water, plus picnic areas to help you unwind. Set on a 100-acre plot, guests can also watch the wildlife or take a walk on site or along the nearby towpath. There are also showers and 24-hour laundry facilities. For activities outside of the park, there are many shops, cafés and pubs in the market town of Nantwich, which is a 10-minute drive away. There’s also easy access to the M6 and the B5074 in Church Minshull. Families, couples, small groups and dogs are all welcome at the site.

What customers say

This peaceful, clean campsite boasts spacious, level pitches on a marina. Guests loved the modern facilities, friendly staff, and waterside cafe. Dog walks are popular, but be aware of occasional wasps and working marina noise. Some found facilities a bit distant.

FHU gravel travel trailer campsite (premium)

Liked Beautiful marina, clean toilets, plenty of dog walking space. Cafe is great, more of a marina bistro as menu was great.
Good stuff on for Halloween too.
About 1.5 mile walk to office pub, The old oak tree, also great.
Great base for site seeing too.

Disliked Only 4 of the 8 toilets were ever open (I understand 1 is kept for storage but had to wait to shower a few times)

Liked Loved everything about this site. Unfortunately I missed the cafe and shop due to arrival time but the facilities looked lovely. Gorgeous marina and the motorhome pitches were great. Really clean toilet block and although full it was really quiet site. Great canal walks. I’ll definitely return.

Liked Facilities, relaxing location, cafe, walks, clean and well kept, friendly staff, spacious pitches.

Disliked If I had to say something it would be that it was too far to walk into town and transport links were very limited.

Local attractions

Aqueduct Marina and Caravan Park's Cheshire location and easy access from the M6 means it's in a most handy spot to get to heaps of tourist attractions around this part of the north west and Chester. A popular option in the area is Oulton Park, the racing track in the little village of Budworth that bills itself as the prettiest track in all the land, or you could hike around the wilds of nearby Delamere Forest, or stick to lazy days and potter around small Cheshire villages like Tattenhall and Tarporley. Chester is also easily accessible from the caravan park and has heaps to see among its old streets and swish shops. Animal fans make their way to Chester Zoo on the outskirts of the city to see as many as possible of its 12,000+ animals and over 400 species; if nature is your animalish thing, also get along to the Blue Planet Aquarium and its 100 or so living displays including the biggest school of sharks in Europe. Green fingered? Clear the car boot and drive over to Bridgemere, one of the biggest garden centres in the world and with all things gardenlike as well as toys and clothes in its mammoth shopping centre.
