Penhill Park is set at the foot of Penhill, a popular hiking destination. The site is set within the Yorkshire Dales National Park, with spectacular views overlooking Wensleydale. Set on the edge of a working farm within 100 acres, we are a family friendly site close to surrounding villages and the town of Leyburn, next to Middleham Moor where you can watch racehorses from the local race yards exercise every morning. Our site is equipped with shared eco toilets and a shower shack, washing up area and recycling. We operate a ‘leave nothing behind but footprints’ policy so please remove all other waste when you leave the pitch. Dogs are permitted but must be kept on a lead due to livestock in the surrounding fields. Fire pits and BBQ’s are permitted but no disposable BBQ’s please or campfires on the floor. Open fires/ fire pits will strictly forbidden during high winds or extreme dry weather due to the proximity of the moorland.

The park does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Breed-specific legislation (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).

Twin axle vehicles are not permitted on site.
At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.
Guests must bring their own duvets, pillows, sheets and towels when staying in rental accommodation. You will not be allowed to stay if you do not bring these items.
Minimum spacing of 6 metres between pitches.
There is no reception building on-site: on arrival please contact the number provided on your booking confirmation.
Fires, barbecues and/or firepits will not be permitted in dry, windy and/or hot weather conditions.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 7 day(s) of arrival.

Admission

At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Please pick any available site on arrival.
The park will send you further check-in information 7 day(s) before your arrival.

Dogs

Dogs are not allowed if you are staying in the accommodation units.
Dogs must be kept on leashes and supervised at all times.
Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.
The park does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Breed-specific legislation (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).

General

Quiet hours must be respected between 10:30 p.m. and 9 a.m..
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and trunks must be closed quietly.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behavior is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
The park is not liable for any refund in the event of force majeure.
