A aimé Nice quiet location with great views.

N'a pas aimé As soon as we opened the van doors we were besieged by flies! The van was covered in them, inside and out. There was no possibility to sit outside and enjoy the evening so sadly we had to move on and find a new site. An expensive night!

Réponse du gestionnaire : Unfortunately due to it being so dry and then has rained the cooler and damp and weather then becoming humid, does create a nice an environment for all kinds of different flies, pulling up in a hot van is basic science as flies are attracted to heat. They would have cleared off eventually given the chance. Sitting within the open countryside and given our site is a working farm, which is clearly advertised as so, there is an element of risk of insect life. To give us a 1 as an overall score when you’ve not made use of any of the facilities or actually spent any time here is very unfair. We have many 9 & 10/10 reviews and people have had the best experience with many people returning.

A aimé A gorgeous campsite - stunning views, nice and peaceful, basic but good facilities. The cows walking to the milked each morning was lovely! The Tipi tent was really welcomed as a place to play boardgames in the evening.

N'a pas aimé It would be good to have soap available at the sinks!

A aimé Lovely place, beautiful view over the valley. Loved the eco toilets.

Réponse du gestionnaire : Thank you for choosing our campsite. There is a separate dishwashing sink? There’s two porcelain handwashing sinks between the toilets and two steel sinks past the showers for washing up?

A aimé We loved the views and the popcorn milkshake !
The campsite is simple but has the facilities we required . Well done on building a great set up of porcelain sinks and fab composting toilets. The showers worked well , you just need to turn off when it goes cold and then back again to reignite the flame. ( I think that’s what was going on ! )

Even when it was busy we never queued
Lovely to be able to walk the dogs on the track above and be surrounded by sheep and cows

A aimé A basic but excellent site with stunning views. We were blessed with the weather so enjoyed every second ☀️
Site was well maintained and basic facilities were clean and in good working order.

N'a pas aimé Paid extra for a fire pit but had to bring own kindling and wood. Seemed quite expensive but we appreciated it.

A aimé Location is fantastic, beautiful!

N'a pas aimé Composting toilets unfortunately. Having not experienced a toilet like this before I didn't know what to expect but unfortunately its not something I could handle. I didn't like the openess of the toilet waste and as expected this attracted plently of flies. Not for me unfortunately. Also no chemical disposal as site is eco friendly- so no where to empty own toilet waste.
