Liked: The location was good and a short drive to Brimham rocks, Pateley Bridge, Ripley etc. There are good views over fields. The Yurt was a good size and waterproof and was well tested by a torrential downpour one night. It was very good having a private bathroom so you can leave you stuff there. A wood burner is provided in the yurt but we did not need it as the bed was comfy and warm. Just outside is a camping stove where you can boil a kettle or a simple pan meal. Only the cooker is covered so make sure you have an umbrella. A torch or two is useful also. There is also a communal kitchen with sink, fridge and freezer in the shower block which is about 50 yards away.

Liked: What a wonderful 3 night stay at Monks Meadow. Owners are so friendly and helpful. We loved the farm fresh eggs thank you :). Extra blankets provided on request. The wood burning stove was great, heated up the tent in no time. Lovely site and plenty of room for our family of 4 plus dog. We loved having our own bathroom and all we needed to enjoy our stay. Even wine glasses are provided :). We cooked breakfast and one night had a bbq for our evening meal. Such a lovely peaceful place the views are lovely. We had a great time exploring nearby Knaresborough, National Trust Brimham Rocks and Stump Cross Caverns if any families are looking for things to do they were all great, especially Old Mother Shiptons Cave.

Liked: Lovely place. It's felt like we own the place. You don't need to worry about anything you forget to pack. Etc plates, cutlery, pans, pots ...just to name a few. All you need is your towels, toiletries and food. Everything else is there. Our family and dogs loved the fireplace

Liked: Me, my partner and daughter have just spent 2 nights here with teacher strike days. We can honestly say it has been such a lovely break. Barbara the host made sure we was all ok. Had everything we needed. Barbara even brought us some fresh eggs. Her family was also very welcoming. The glamping tents were very spacious. The beds were comfortable. Barbara had outdoor games for children, which me and my daughter took advantage off haha. The BBQ bucket was great. Plenty of utensils to use. One of my favourite things was the fact each of the 3 glamping tents had its own little bathroom a little walk away with shower, sink and toilet. You are given your own key to access your bathroom. The water pressure in the shower was great. Especially if you have longer hair. I can honestly say if you are looking for a lovely peaceful break I would highly recommend this place.

Liked: Location was stunning
Disliked: Very cold at night, bedding supplied was inadequate for the temperatures at night.
The tents were full of potential, that had not been reached.
Experience was basic camping, well bathrooms were allocated individually. They were still in the bathroom block a distance away. This was the same with all facilities.
The bathroom is the kitchen and access to a fridge brought in a separate block at the top of the field.
The tents had log burners, and you could buy additional wood if required. There were also hot water bottles you could borrow. This highlighted that the owners are very aware of the cold nights and it failed to supply anything other than a very light summer quilt. Taking your own bedding is a must. Also there is one medium size communal fridge so take your name labels.

From the manager: This review is very disappointing, we do try to cover all bases with extra woollen blankets, hot water bottles etc in case of cold nights. If the customer had raised the issue, extra duvets could have been supplied. The temperatures that week were unseasonably low.
The communal kitchen and toilet block is no more than 100 yards from the tents.
