Fantastic, friendly spacious relaxing site.

Liked We visited this site after reading some very funny reviews, the dislikes were laughable. Plus this was an ideal location for us for a few days rest.
The site didn't disappoint at all.
Based in an easy to find Large field with plenty of space for kids to play.
Very clean site and lots of space.
Great canal side dog walk and respectful campers who all kept their dogs on leads.
(which makes a change)
Fantastic hot, clean showers and clean, fully stocked toilets.
Good pub, staff were very friendly and polite.
We even met Andy the owner, who came to tell us we had parked in the wrong place. Although not a problem this time, as we had already set up. We are aware for next time. Had a fantastic chat, including ott expectations and love the sarcastic comments in the toilets.
Obviously people expect the Ritz and dont expect spiders, bugs and cobwebs when camping.. how laughable.
Definitely will be back soon.
Disliked Oh noooo spiders and cob webs in the toilets..
Other people not rinsing the sinks when finished brushing teeth, surely management should supervise..
Oh and the bird tweeted too early in the morning, disturbing our sleep..
Andy could you please rectify these issues or at least leave me a brilliant response. Ready for next time.. See you soon..

Liked Food in the pub, large grass pitch , check in
Disliked Having to pay £1 for 2 minutes in the one of only 2 showers on the site given the cost paid of over £30 per night (which is on the high side) toilets are very basic

Pleasant overnight location with adjacent Pub that opens some days.

Liked Basic and relaxed informal site with large grass pitches. Comms via text prior to arrival with all info required. Pub on site... but be aware closed Mon/Tue inc the May Bank Hol so was not able to try. Adequate WC and water facilities. Would stay again if in the area.
