What customers say
Rosehip Wood delivers a tranquil, secluded woodland camping trip. Guests love the "back to basics" feel, private sites among trees, and spotless compost toilets. Owners Juliet and Tom are frequently praised for their friendliness and helpfulness, assisting with wood and even recovering vehicles stuck in the rain. While some found it pricey for basic amenities, especially when busy, others felt it was a magical escape offering great value, with many planning to return. A second toilet has been added.

Primitive grass and earth RV campsite (woodland)
Liked We stayed in the woodland area and had a lovely relaxing time. The pitch we had was a generous size with sufficient privacy. Although off grid it was a bonus to have a compost toilet and drinking water on site.
Lovely cycle routes from the camp taking in all the local villages.

Nice, clean and quiet camping spot.
Primitive grass and earth tent or trailer tent campsite (woodland)
Liked Nice and remote, were not many people on the site so we could get our own little corner in the woodland. No-one came to bother us, no convoluted check in either. Had the option to buy firewood. Compost loos were clean as well. Walking paths near to stretch the legs.
Disliked Only slight thing - Some neighboring cockerels were up bright and early and made some noise. Nothing too bad though. Part of the countryside.

Primitive grass and earth tent or trailer tent campsite (woodland)
Liked Quiet secluded site with option of choosing your own pitch. Fire pits available and firewood to purchase, we had enough for the two nights we stayed. Compost loos not too far away with hand washing facilities. Loved being woken by all the birdsong, although did not get up straight away as it was very early. This was my second stay at Rose Hip and will definitely be returning.

Liked Had a lovely stay there and the setting is wonderful. Huge open fields right next to the site. My son loved the log fire in the evening as well. Lots of lovely bird songs too :)
Disliked Compost loos were ok for adults but a bit of a struggle for younger kids.
