Rosehip Wood Wild Camping

A aimé Loved that it was eco friendly, the site was beautiful, I loved the little designated camping areas, it felt like we were in our on little secluded spot. They offered a large box of firewood for £10 which is better than supermarkets and each space had a fire pit so you could have a cosy fire.
It's a very cute little campsite and we'll probably return next year in the summer with friends!

A aimé Perfect Autumn campsite.
Quiet, secluded and nice setting.
Log fire is perfect for colder evenings and stargazing in the dark sky
Never used a compost toilet before but that was actually ok. Very clean too

A aimé 2nd visit, would not risk again, roll of the dice (1st visit ok). Visiting with my child. Group of teenagers drinking, smoking weed and playing music, drunker they got the louder they got. Other campers joined them (1 sole camper and 2 young lads camping separately). Not sure when the noise ended as left at 2am as could not bear it anymore. Reminded me of a backpackers place in Australia when I was same young.

In the two years that we have been open this is only the second complaint we have received regarding noise levels of other campers. As we do not permit any recorded music to be played on site, people looking to party are usually deterred. The majority of our customers book because they want to be immersed in nature and enjoy the sounds and sights of the countryside.

A aimé Really nice wild camping site, toilets were really clean, had firewood available for the firepit upon request and was welcomed by the host upon arrival.

A aimé Quiet, the pitches were set into the surrounding bushes and hedgerows giving a sense of individual space, with the minimalist facilities, , is as close to wild camping I could get without actually pitching my tent in the wilderness somewhere. Nicely Blends wild camping with a sense of safe site.

N'a pas aimé To be fair I had the site to my self, mid September, the weather was fair, a little damp underfoot, an I had left my power bank behind , the only bad things were beyond control or my fault.

A aimé We really loved the secluded, quiet woodland feeling to the site. It was well-organised with signage and access to mains water and basic toilet facilities. Juliet was a great host!
