Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Tucked out of the way but easy to find, it's the turning to the right just before the bridge.
It's a well kept grassy site with very spacious pitches at the front with electric hook up or if you're in a tent/car camper drive right to the back to find lots of secluded little spots amongst the trees. So quiet and peaceful here. (Adults only so perfect for those who don't want kiddies running about) Perfect spot for walks along the river with the dog watching the boats.
The owners are a lovely family, very welcoming and helpful.
Felt very safe as a solo female camper and very relaxing for my nervous doggie too ❤️
One extremely clean portaloo! and fresh water tap.
Camping as it should be! 🙂👍🏼
Disliked Nothing to dislike.

Great adult only site for a peaceful stay
Powered grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Richard the host greeted us and was very warm and welcoming.
The site was basic in that there was no onsite facilities - showers/washing up stations. There was a portaloo availble to use. However this is mentioned in the site details so we were fully aware before we booked , so no issues there. The site itself was surrounded by trees and the wildlife was great to see especially first thing in the morning. We found the site very peaceful on the whole but if the wind blows in a certain direction you could hear the traffic on occasions but not enough to be put off and we slept well. Stretham village is about a 20 min walk along a country road (very little traffic) or about an hour if you walk along the canal - there is a pub in the high street with a local shop and also a chinese take away. We had a relaxing 3 day break with the dog and enjoyed the walks along the canal.
Disliked Nothing

Flat site, few facilities, very friendly, close to the river and Ely.
Primitive grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Quiet isolated site close to the river bank
Lovely setting particularly at the back of the site where you can pitch among the trees. Very warm friendly welcome from the owner’s daughter. Lovely walks along the river banks. Not far from Ely which we would recommend visiting, (free parking and very dog friendly.)
Disliked The only downside was not anything to do with the site but there is no access to any cycle path and limited options to cycle locally without ending up on the A10( not recommended)

Liked So peaceful and quiet. Loads of space to set up and wander around. We had the site to ourselves for two days. Short walk to local village pub, which was excellent.
Disliked Limited onsite facilities. The farm is a bit messy.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked It was very clean, quiet and beautiful there. Bunnies were running around. We arrived at 9pm, left at 8am, but still this time was enough to enjoy the rest in this wonderful place.

Good site, good price (except the pooch), nice area.
Primitive grass travel trailer campsite
Liked No nonsense meadow type pitches, loads of room, great for the dog, very peaceful and private, close by access to the river for a nice walk.
Just turn up and choose a pitch.
A good stay.
Disliked £5 for the dog was a bit much especially considering that there were no facilities for dogs. Not even a poo bin.
NOTHING TO DO WITH THE SITE - warning for dog walkers. There’s a house next to the pump station (very close, can’t miss it, over the river) with 3 big out of control dogs that will at some time break through the insubstantial fence and attack. Please avoid and stay the other side of the river (then it’s not a problem).
