  • Riverside suntrap in the Severn valley
  • River Severn fishing rights included on site
  • A short riverside stroll from Stourport-on-Severn
Popular, pretty, in a riverside suntrap in the spectacular Severn Valley and with its own Severn fishing rights… one could lock oneself away here for some considerable time. Lincomb Lock Caravan Park is next to the lock on the River Severn that gives the park its name and is protected by a sandstone escarpment sheltering the site from cooler weather: suntan seekers, this is the place for you. It's all a placid riverside stroll from the canal town of Stourport-on-Severn and near fathoms of fishing opps on the nearby river and pools; the park also has its own River Severn fishing rights for those angling to land roach, bream, perch, chub, carp, barbel and more slippery sorts. (For other activities, Glades Leisure Centre and Shatterford Fishery are within easy driving distance of Lincomb Lock Caravan Park, or ask the staff about the many options for outdoor pursuits in the area like horse riding, mountain biking and golf.) The spotless park amenities at Lincomb Lock include separate bathrooms each with shower, sink and toilet; a meadow with pond is on site for picnics and general sunbathing/lazing about. Please note that that Lincomb Lock operates an adults-only policy on its touring and camping field and no-one under the age of 16 may stay on this part of the park.

What customers say

A clean, quiet, and well-kept park with friendly staff. Great facilities, especially individual showers. Lovely riverside walks. Note: some pitches are near the entrance, and there's a slight incline to the facilities. No Wi-Fi.

Liked Loved the shower block as you have a sink and a toilet in the cubicle which are very clean. They are on a bit of a slope though.
Lovely grounds with a great wildlife pond.

Disliked The tourers face the car park but not too much of a problem for us.

Liked From the get go, we were greeted by a friendly member of staff (Simon), shown our pitch, and a verbal guided tour of the site (need to know stuff). The site was absolutely immaculate, with some well thought attention to detail stuff (personalised sign for pitch, tidy bin area with hand sanitizer, tidy and clean pot wash, chemical waste with a hook for the hose pipe), a very well thought out welcome pack, with endless information about local "where to go's".
All of the staff were always friendly, saying hello in passing, as well as chatting when time allowed.
The pitches were neat and tidy on arrival, and the Shower block was spot on. The location of the site is ideal, short walk to the river, or to town.

Disliked If we were forced to say something needed changing, the shower block wasn't immediately close ti the touring pitches.... that said, the walk isn't dramatic for those that are able.

From the manager: Thank you for your review. There is indeed a short uphill walk to the washrooms on our park which is highlighted in our listing. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay overall and that the customer service and cleanliness continues to be to a high standard. Thank you for continuing to recommend our park to others. All the best, The Lincomb Lock Team

Liked The peace and quiet, and overall tranquility of the site is perfect. You are within short walking distance (3mins) from the river, there are an abundance of blackberries, apples, and damson to pick throughout the site. The toilet and shower facilities are immaculate, extremely clean, along with the washing up area too. The site is bursting with countryside walks right off your pitch, plus the open dog meadow with added pool is just doggie holiday heaven! The staff on here are an amazing, friendly, lovely, helpful bunch, who made us feel more than welcome. The grounds and garden areas of the site have so much care and attention paid to them it really makes you feel like you really are set up in the middle of the countryside. I can't stress enough how quiet and peaceful this site is. A perfect getaway in a beautiful little suntrap. Lastly the WiFi is amazing! Will be rebooking again for September, can't wait to return.

Disliked Absolutely nothing.

Liked Easy to get to from the motorway. A friendly welcome. Designated pitch. Walks from site. Peaceful. Powerful showers. Good washing up area. The grounds are well looked after. Pond and orchard. Fishing rights.

Disliked Tight entrance, blind spot when leaving. Pitches have views of the carpark for residents of holiday homes, which was disruptive sometimes with the movement of vehicles. For high season felt price was a bit steep.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave an honest review of your stay with us here at Lincomb Lock Caravan Park.
We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay overall and found the park to be peaceful. Unfortunately some issues are outside of our control due to road layout leading to park. With it being peak season, there is more activity on park with visitors although it still remains as a quiet and tranquil setting for tourers and owners alike. We appreciate that you were pleased with the park itself and have recommended it to friends
All the best from the Lincomb Lock team

Local attractions

Stroll along the canal to the town of Stourport-on-Severn (and past moored boats that will make you seethe/weep with envy) for shops, restaurants and a riverside recreation area with pleasure rides, crazy golf, bowling, putting greens and self-drive boats. Stourport was once a thriving inland port, and the Stourport Canal Basins tell the tale of their heyday in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. They've recently been restored and now have pubs, cafés and restaurants to sup in and watch the boats going through the locks, as well as their five basins with listed houses and warehouses alongside around a hundred narrowboats and yachts. Also nearby for heritage hunters are the Severn Valley Railway, Bewdley Working Museum, Hartlebury Castle (with the Worcestershire County Museum), Witley Court and Harvington Hall. Ancientness of a natural sort is highly recommended at Wyre Forest, while wildlife hunters can trek around the West Midlands Safari Park for over 165 species, a safari drivethrough and a theme park.
