  • Riverside suntrap in the Severn valley
  • River Severn fishing rights included on site
  • A short riverside stroll from Stourport-on-Severn
Popular, pretty, in a riverside suntrap in the spectacular Severn Valley and with its own Severn fishing rights… one could lock oneself away here for some considerable time. Lincomb Lock Caravan Park is next to the lock on the River Severn that gives the park its name and is protected by a sandstone escarpment sheltering the site from cooler weather: suntan seekers, this is the place for you. It's all a placid riverside stroll from the canal town of Stourport-on-Severn and near fathoms of fishing opps on the nearby river and pools; the park also has its own River Severn fishing rights for those angling to land roach, bream, perch, chub, carp, barbel and more slippery sorts. (For other activities, Glades Leisure Centre and Shatterford Fishery are within easy driving distance of Lincomb Lock Caravan Park, or ask the staff about the many options for outdoor pursuits in the area like horse riding, mountain biking and golf.) The spotless park amenities at Lincomb Lock include separate bathrooms each with shower, sink and toilet; a meadow with pond is on site for picnics and general sunbathing/lazing about. Please note that that Lincomb Lock operates an adults-only policy on its touring and camping field and no-one under the age of 16 may stay on this part of the park.

What customers say

This is a beautiful, peaceful spot with super clean facilities, including private shower/toilet rooms. Staff are often praised as friendly & helpful, and the grounds are lovely. Enjoy riverside walks to Stourport. Some guests note pitches are near the car park, can be sloped, or a bit of a trek to the washrooms. Mostly static caravans, with few spots for touring.

Liked Stunning site. Lovely pitches with hedges dividing each one for privacy. It is 20 minute walk to the beautiful town which has a stunning pub overlooking the locks. There is a large funfair in the town and rides on the barges. The town is quite large so we spent a full day there. It was hot and dry when we went so the walk to town was lovely - but if it was wet the way would have been muddy and slippy as it is a very overgrown mudpath you walk along to get into town. The site was so peaceful and beautifully kept. There were about 12 pitches for motorhomes and then a massive static caravan site that was stunning. The toilets and showers were so clean and each shower had a toilet and sink in with it. There is also free wi-fi which was a bery goid connection for us. At the bottom of the site there was an orchard and secret garden and stunning lake with a fountain. We are definitely planning on returning to this site many times.

Liked The facilities are extremely clean. Is nice to have a bathroom of your own. The music is also nice to have. The site is very well maintained and the staff friendly. it is a very small site and the pitches have hedging which gives some privacy. It is mainly a static caravan site with a small touring area. There is a river walk to the town but some parts were overgrown with nettles so a bit uncomfortable if you are in shorts. You can also get to town on the main road which has a path way wide enough no to be too bothered by the traffic. The Old Rose & Crown does lovely food at very reasonable prices. There is a nice area to the back of the site with a pond and gardens where we saw a deer.

Disliked The loos etc were in the static caravan park rather then the touring area up a hill and strangely a playground was in the touring park which is adult only. View to the car park only.

Liked Beautiful and well kept site. The hardstanding pitches are all fully serviced and well kept. If you are in a motorhome you will need leveling ramps.

Disliked Noise, we were on the first pitch as come in to the site. there is a farm/industrial site about 100 yards away and from 8AM the noise was horrendous. to add to this all the trees were being trimmed so the chainsaw noise added to the discomfort.
I think that we were unfortunate in our timing and the site is probably quieter most of the time.

Local attractions

Stroll along the canal to the town of Stourport-on-Severn (and past moored boats that will make you seethe/weep with envy) for shops, restaurants and a riverside recreation area with pleasure rides, crazy golf, bowling, putting greens and self-drive boats. Stourport was once a thriving inland port, and the Stourport Canal Basins tell the tale of their heyday in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. They've recently been restored and now have pubs, cafés and restaurants to sup in and watch the boats going through the locks, as well as their five basins with listed houses and warehouses alongside around a hundred narrowboats and yachts. Also nearby for heritage hunters are the Severn Valley Railway, Bewdley Working Museum, Hartlebury Castle (with the Worcestershire County Museum), Witley Court and Harvington Hall. Ancientness of a natural sort is highly recommended at Wyre Forest, while wildlife hunters can trek around the West Midlands Safari Park for over 165 species, a safari drivethrough and a theme park.
