  • Friendly adults-only site at the foot of the Malvern Hills
  • Access to Castlemorton Common and 35 minutes’ walk from Little Malvern
  • Barbecues permitted on site; walk to four country pubs
Keen to get away to the Malvern Hills? Looking for a break where your dog can get involved with the hill walking? A peaceful spot within walking distance of multiple cosy country pubs? Marlbrook Farm is here to get things started… The family-run, adults-only site based on a working horse livery yard is in the Malvern Hills National Landscape with direct access to Castlemorton Common and a 10-minute drive from the Three Counties Showground. Don your hiking boots and head for the common or the hills – the site is just 35 minutes’ walk from Little Malvern and under 10 minutes’ drive from British Camp Hill Fort. Those of you who’d rather mount your bicycle and get pedalling can set your sights on historic Ledbury (15 minutes’ drive or 45 minutes’ cycle) and the peaceful riverside in Upton upon Severn (25 minutes’ drive or cycle) too. Hill walking and cycling aside, those wishing to tip back a few local ales and indulge in some country pub grub will be pleased to find four such establishments within walking distance. The closest is just 15 minutes’ walk away and the remainder are 25 minutes’ walk or 35 minutes’ walk away – so judge your favourite for yourselves. If barbecues with stunning views are high on your priorities too, good news. They're permitted on site, and there’s a village shop 10 minutes’ walk away to simplify sourcing ingredients. Facilities on this peaceful independent site include one shower and two toilets located a short walk away from the pitches (passing by the horse stables) and a chemical disposal point.

What customers say

This peaceful, adult-only site offers stunning views of the Malvern Hills and direct access to Castlemorton Common, ideal for dog walks. Pitches are spacious, level, and well-equipped with water and EHU. The working livery yard with horses is a highlight. While facilities are basic, they are functional and clean. Some visitors found them limited, especially during busier periods, and noted patchy Wi-Fi and phone signal. The owner is praised for being friendly and helpful.

Liked Beautiful setting on Castlemorton Common a few miles from Great Malvern. As we were attending the Spring Show at 3 Counties Showground it was just down the road from there.
The farm actually stables horses and both cows and sheep graze just in front of the farm, it was lovely to be surrounded by all these animals.

Disliked The was only 1 shower which is in with the “campsite toilet” so going for a shower in the morning inevitably means waiting… there is a second toilet, fortunately, but obviously it is used by the stable hands so it is rather basic.

Liked Lovely setting in small plot about 6 pitches secluded from roads, in trees with lovely view Malvern Hills and right on Castlemorton common. Nice being in practical working stables, horses etc.
Catherine is amazing with what she has achieved from scratch and lovely down to earth person, helpful and accommodating.
Thankyou

Disliked Toilets and shower clean and effective but not luxurious. All else good really

Primitive gravel travel trailer campsite

Liked Quiet site, away from any roads. Within walk to local. Very convenient for a pre and/or post stay for the Malvern Flower show. This is a stable setting so lots of horses around , all very quiet and well cared for.
Toilet and shower clean and adequate, but only one. We didn’t have to wait though. Decent dish washing area.

Disliked Nothing really. Signage from field to toilet could have been better but we just asked someone.

Liked Great views of the Malverns from the pitch. Water taps very close. Nice and quiet. Close to the common for great walks. Three very nice pubs within walking distance.

Liked Just returned back from a 3 night stay. Very spacious pitch. Stayed in the north field pitch 2. This was our first time in the north field and what can I say. The view here of Malvern hills is second to none. Had a wonderful few days nice and peaceful. Would highly recommend for a nice peaceful getaway and will definitely be returning very soon.

Disliked Nothing at all to dislike.

Liked lovely views

Disliked Says at the bottom of Malvern Hills but what it doesn't say is you cant get to them
Was only a shower when it stated showers
Didn't like that you had to walk through the stables to get to the shower
Wasn't the cleanest
I feel they haven't been totally honest left things out like you cant get to Malvern Hills from the camp site in fact its quite a lo g way to get to them

From the manager: I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your stay.
We are a rustic site with basic facilities on an equestrian livery yard and I hope that is apparent from our listing and pictures.
It is possible to walk leisurely to the foot of the Hills across Castlemorton Common in about 30 minutes, the top of the Hills in 90minutes. Without even having to cross a road!
I'm very confused that you said you couldn't get to the Hills, there are so many lovely walks to get there. Such a shame you missed out.

Local attractions

From the site, walk straight out onto Castlemorton Common. From there, it'll take you around an hour to walk to the top of the Malvern Hills without even crossing a road. On the edge of Welland, the site is also within walking distance of the annual Welland Steam & Country Rally event. There are many more festivals in Upton upon Severn (25 minutes’ drive) For a peek into the past, try Little Malvern Priory (35 minutes' walk) or Eastnor Castle (10 minutes' drive). The latter has a deer park, arboretum and a grand castle with turrets overlooking the lake. Gawp at the state rooms in the castle or try and work your way out of the garden maze. If you’re looking to switch things up, you might want to roll down to the Wye Valley National Landscape (25 minutes) for yet more wanders or watersports on the River Wye.
