  • Friendly adults-only site at the foot of the Malvern Hills
  • Access to Castlemorton Common and 35 minutes’ walk from Little Malvern
  • Barbecues permitted on site; walk to four country pubs
Keen to get away to the Malvern Hills? Looking for a break where your dog can get involved with the hill walking? A peaceful spot within walking distance of multiple cosy country pubs? Marlbrook Farm is here to get things started… The family-run, adults-only site based on a working horse livery yard is in the Malvern Hills National Landscape with direct access to Castlemorton Common and a 10-minute drive from the Three Counties Showground. Don your hiking boots and head for the common or the hills – the site is just 35 minutes’ walk from Little Malvern and under 10 minutes’ drive from British Camp Hill Fort. Those of you who’d rather mount your bicycle and get pedalling can set your sights on historic Ledbury (15 minutes’ drive or 45 minutes’ cycle) and the peaceful riverside in Upton upon Severn (25 minutes’ drive or cycle) too. Hill walking and cycling aside, those wishing to tip back a few local ales and indulge in some country pub grub will be pleased to find four such establishments within walking distance. The closest is just 15 minutes’ walk away and the remainder are 25 minutes’ walk or 35 minutes’ walk away – so judge your favourite for yourselves. If barbecues with stunning views are high on your priorities too, good news. They're permitted on site, and there’s a village shop 10 minutes’ walk away to simplify sourcing ingredients. Facilities on this peaceful independent site include one shower and two toilets located a short walk away from the pitches (passing by the horse stables) and a chemical disposal point.

What customers say

Peaceful rural site with spacious, level pitches and stunning Malvern Hills views. Direct access to Castlemorton Common for walks. Set on a working equestrian centre, many enjoyed the horses. Facilities are basic but functional. Great for walks, pubs, and a friendly welcome. Ideal for those with own facilities.

Liked Just returned from a 4 night stay at malbrook farm. Absolutely love this place very quiet and friendly site with lovely large pitches and stunning views. We have stayed here quite a few times and keep returning and our dog loves walking in the common which is right outside the gate. Will be returning again in July hopefully.

Disliked Nothing to dislike

Primitive gravel travel trailer campsite

Liked Really remote and quiet site with a lovely view of Black Hill and Pinnacle Hill. Good size pitch on hardstanding with own tap. Only a short drive to British Camp and not far from most of Malvern Hills points of interest. Shower and toilet were clean and worked well, but there was only one shower and toilet in the same bathroom, so availability might be tricky when site is busy busy. Didn't meet the owner but we were sent an informative email with details about where to pitch before arrival. Plenty of dog walking from site.

Disliked Would have benefitted from some signage to initially locate the toilet and shower, as it was through some gates and through the stable yard. Or maybe add instructions to the email with pitch details?
Kitchen area could do with a tidy and clean.

Liked Beautiful location with excellent walks and lovely views. Spacious attractive pitch in South meadow.

Disliked There was little attention paid to the provision of toilet and washing up facilities for campers. One loo with shower which was of satisfactory standard located at end of stable block. Washing up was in judges box for riding arena which was a bit of a mess. Campsite appears to have been there for some years but no investment in facilities for campers. Site very much focused on horses which is a shame as it has potentially a lot to offer. Never encountered the owner.

Liked Lovely location with direct access to the hills from the site. Very quiet.

Disliked There is only one toilet and shower in the same room, so if the site was full that may have meant queuing.

Local attractions

From the site, walk straight out onto Castlemorton Common. From there, it'll take you around an hour to walk to the top of the Malvern Hills without even crossing a road. On the edge of Welland, the site is also within walking distance of the annual Welland Steam & Country Rally event. There are many more festivals in Upton upon Severn (25 minutes’ drive) For a peek into the past, try Little Malvern Priory (35 minutes' walk) or Eastnor Castle (10 minutes' drive). The latter has a deer park, arboretum and a grand castle with turrets overlooking the lake. Gawp at the state rooms in the castle or try and work your way out of the garden maze. If you’re looking to switch things up, you might want to roll down to the Wye Valley National Landscape (25 minutes) for yet more wanders or watersports on the River Wye.
