I wouldn’t visit again Was great for the men fishing but not much else
Powered grass campsite
Liked Was a good camp site for the fishing
Disliked We went for the weekend with friends so the men could meet up and fish. We took the kids (11 and 17) there is a play area in the field but isn’t really for families.
The shower block is quite new but is full of cobwebs and spiders could go with a thorough clean.
Paying £1 for a 5 minute shower isn’t great when the temperature went from scolding to freezing with no in between so I possibly only got 1 minute dip from my 5 minutes I paid for.

Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Space for the dogs to run around
Disliked Being hit in the face by a spider living in one of the many well established cobwebs in the toilet block. Would have been good to know about match fishing taking place on the lakes which ment we were unable to use the lakes which was the whole reason for the stay.

Primitive grass campsite
Liked possible to just book one night at the weekend as a stopover, lots of space in the camping field, well-maintained shower and toilet block
Disliked Noise till after midnight, very close to main train line, paying for showers

Liked Well kept site. Clean, tidy and very quiet. Plenty of space for your tent and the amenities were very good. I didn’t use the cafe but it looked very nice.

I would avoid during rush period otherwise could be great site.
Primitive grass campsite
Liked The pitches were excellent—level, very spacious, and ideal for a comfortable setup. There were great options for kids, including a nice play park, and the relaxed rules made the stay enjoyable. We also appreciated that barbecues and campfires were allowed.
Disliked The experience was let down by the toilet and shower facilities, which were clearly overwhelmed and insufficient for the number of guests. Management did apologize during check-in, which almost felt like they anticipated these issues. Showers cost £1 for 5 minutes, but the water pressure was so poor (barely dripping) that you’d need several coins just to have a reasonable shower. For what was provided, the charges felt unjustified—especially when many campsites offer far better facilities for free.
To make matters worse, the water supply stopped working on all three days of our stay. While the campsite has great potential, it simply couldn’t cope with the bank holiday rush. Perhaps things would be different on quieter days, but based on our experience during peak season, there’s a lot of room for improvement.

Clean, nice staff
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Clean and tidy, showers clean, fishing
Disliked the site was packed and some very noisy campers with a PA system which is not needed as not all the site wants to listen to them, there kids didn't care about hitting our motorhome with their ball,
Will come back but when no events are on

Not good enough. Dirty, smelly and not enough made overall
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Big open family space that was quiet after 11.
Friendly staff
Disliked Showers didn't work and were dirty. Not much signs of cleaning anywhere, some m very unpleasant smells around the site.
£1 coin for a 5 minute shower and it didn't work. Almost no water came out.
Two male and female showers for the whole of two massive fields crammed with tents and other campers.
