If you had thoughts on an ideal setting for a hol between England and Wales, Hadley Park might well be it. It's in the Shropshire countryside on the border with Wales, next to the Shropshire Union Canal, and a handsomely scenic walk from Whitchurch, Shropshire's oldest market town. Hadley Park is a family-owned and run site that's set up for adults only. It has a small pond where guests can fish for a small fee per rod (maximum of two rods), a big sundeck overlooking the pond, and a fully licensed on-site café serving fresh local produce. You can also have your hair smartened up in the Hadley Park salon: just enquire when booking using the details in your booking confirmation email. Amenities include a launderette and a washing-up area; there's also a chemical disposal point, and a modern well-kept toilet and shower block with disabled facilities. The park is adults-only and welcomes well-behaved dogs. A service station with fast food and coffee outlet is 400 yards away.

The Kestrel camping pod

Liked Plenty of space inside the camping pod and lots of space between the pods. Nice view of the fishing lake from the pod and you can watch the sun go down over it.

No physical interaction with owner but I had all the info so no need to 👍
Quiet spacious pitch. Toilet block very clean. Location great for walking the tow path to Whitchurch, canal walk 150 yards from pitch. No WI-FI but I knew that before traveling. 4G with 3 so I had phone and internet

Liked Nice quiet site with the added bonus of fishing and cafe on site, facilities really clean, all staff really friendly

Disliked Not a dislike but just to make people aware that pool view isn’t actually around the lake, it is the next field not even a minute walk

Liked Excellent toilets, handy kitchen area, great exercise area for the dogs off lead, easy to pitch up.
Wonderful walks in both directions along the canal but at the moment you have to get off the towpath at the marina I’d going into town.

Disliked Nothing really. There is road noise in the day but not in the evening.

Staying close to home from Hadley Park, the old Shropshire town of Whitchurch is less than a mile away, and the walks of the Sandstone Trail as well as the hacks of the Bishop Bennet Way are easily accessible via the Shropshire and Union Canal on site. Elsewhere, several famed Shropshire and Cheshire sights are within 20 miles of the park, like Chester Cathedral and the city's Roman ruins and amphitheatre; Chester Zoo and Chester Racecourse; the fab follies of Hawkestone Park, and the llamas, alpacas and 50 acres of greenery of Cholmondeley Castle Gardens.
