If you had thoughts on an ideal setting for a hol between England and Wales, Hadley Park might well be it. It's in the Shropshire countryside on the border with Wales, next to the Shropshire Union Canal, and a handsomely scenic walk from Whitchurch, Shropshire's oldest market town. Hadley Park is a family-owned and run site that's set up for adults only. It has a small pond where guests can fish – for free; a big sundeck overlooking the pond, and a fully licensed on-site café serving fresh local produce. You can also have your hair smartened up in the Hadley Park salon: just enquire when booking using the details in your booking confirmation email. Amenities include a launderette and a washing-up area; there's also a chemical disposal point, and a modern well-kept toilet and shower block with disabled facilities. The park is adults-only and welcomes well-behaved dogs. A service station with fast food and coffee outlet is 400 yards away.

This adults-only park gets props for clean facilities, friendly staff, and a chill vibe. Canal walks are great, and the on-site cafe is a hit. Most folks have a good time, though some noted road noise and needing pitch upkeep. New owners are on it!

FHU cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked Lots of improvements, very good friendly couple. Cafe gives excellent good value food. Fishing on site.
Some more fishing pegs would be great in your plans going forward.
When canal.path is open you can walk to whitchurch one way and Grindley lock the other way where there is a nice cafe.

Disliked Shame canal path was closed but that's not the sites fault and work is still going on to fill the sinkhole.

Pool view primitive grass RV campsite

Liked Been here a few times, first time for two years though, lovely peaceful weekend.
Dog field for us is why we come back, our dog is reactive and so this gives her the space to have a good run without us looking over our shoulder

Joyce camping pod

Liked Very clean and comfortable clamping pod.
Toilets and showers were very clean. The staff were very approachable and helpful.
The prices were very reasonable compared to other sites I've been to in the past.
The cafe also needs mentioning for it's great food and lovely staff.

The Little Barn camping pod

Liked The camping barn was beautiful, loved the decor, comfortable bed and sofa, had everything we needed. Great onsite cafe , clean toilet and shower facilities loved the music, excellent washing up area , a really fantastic camping/glamping site

Staying close to home from Hadley Park, the old Shropshire town of Whitchurch is less than a mile away, and the walks of the Sandstone Trail as well as the hacks of the Bishop Bennet Way are easily accessible via the Shropshire and Union Canal on site. Elsewhere, several famed Shropshire and Cheshire sights are within 20 miles of the park, like Chester Cathedral and the city's Roman ruins and amphitheatre; Chester Zoo and Chester Racecourse; the fab follies of Hawkestone Park, and the llamas, alpacas and 50 acres of greenery of Cholmondeley Castle Gardens. Nearby Shrewsbury is famed for its annual flower show and for its Darwin Trail commemorating the life and work of evolution dude Charles Darwin who was born in the town. More modernly, a good range of plays are held at the new Severn Theatre and several riverside pubs and restaurants are around at which to while the night away.
