If you had thoughts on an ideal setting for a hol between England and Wales, Hadley Park might well be it. It's in the Shropshire countryside on the border with Wales, next to the Shropshire Union Canal, and a handsomely scenic walk from Whitchurch, Shropshire's oldest market town. Hadley Park is a family-owned and run site that's set up for adults only. It has a small pond where guests can fish for a small fee per rod (maximum of two rods), a big sundeck overlooking the pond, and a fully licensed on-site café serving fresh local produce. You can also have your hair smartened up in the Hadley Park salon: just enquire when booking using the details in your booking confirmation email. Amenities include a launderette and a washing-up area; there's also a chemical disposal point, and a modern well-kept toilet and shower block with disabled facilities. The park is adults-only and welcomes well-behaved dogs. A service station with fast food and coffee outlet is 400 yards away.

Em va agradar We had a good pitch overlooking the pond. Toilets and showers were close to pitch. Great walks along canal from site gate. Lovely peaceful site, there was a bit of road noise but it didn’t bother us.

Cabana pod The Kite (mascotes prohibides)

Em va agradar Location was convenient for me as i was in an event taking place at Hadley Equestrian Center which is located walking distance from the campsite.

No em va agradar Broken lock which was only repaired on day 4 of my 5 day stay.
Leak in the pod,
Uncomfortable mattresses,
Too many 'don't do' sign in & out of the pod which makes it unfriendly,
Radio too loud in the shared female shower & kitchen block,
Camp site located by busy and noisy road,
Was told to inform Dawn when lamp needed charging in the pod. i did so, the lamp was taken away on day 2 but was never returned.
No Wi-Fi on the camp site at all

Mattresses are economy typical camping pod mattresses but you must have been comfortable as you piles the mattresses on top of one another .
Never had anything but positive comments about the music .
Did you check the location as on the map clearly shows we are located off the A525 Wrexham Road .
Not really understanding your dos & don’t thing .
Lamp is a good will gesture had you have requested it back after being charged someone would have brought it .
We cannot repair issues on the park if they are not reported . I had no idea the pod was leaking .
Also this is a camping pod , bring everything except the tent at only £17.50 per night ; full use of all facilities & parking for your lorry which you did not request on our grass .
Very unfair review on the park when you can clearly see genuine holidaymakers love it 🥲

Cabana pod The Kestrel

Em va agradar Such a fabulous place to stay.
Me & my dog have stayed here a couple of times now & we'd happily stay here again. Kestrel camping pod is perfect for a week away from it all.
Facilities are spotless, as always. Dawn is super, such an asset to the site.
Location is great, lots to see in the area. Whitchurch is very nice & the Whixall Moss & Fens are interesting. It's nice to walk along the canal too.
Looking forward to coming back!

No em va agradar The only thing I don't like, & it's at a push to say, but the toilet seats could be changed. They're a bit lop-sided & close when you're sat on them. Other than that I think it's lovely there.

Em va agradar Really nice quiet park. A little road noise which you don't notice after the first few hours. Toilet's and shower's spotless. Friendly people. Canal straight off the park. Partially closed due to the breach along the Llangollen canal. But I would definitely recommend Hadley park to anyone who wants a nice relaxing stay away from kid's.

Em va agradar Nice and peaceful site. We had a lovely view from our pitch of the lake. The enclosed grass area for dogs to run around was great. Staff we spoke to were lovely. Facilities were very clean and nice hot shower.

Toilet and shower block were lovely and clean along with kitchen / washing up area

No em va agradar Some noise from the main A road into Whitchurch, but soon drowns out, much less noise in the night.

Staying close to home from Hadley Park, the old Shropshire town of Whitchurch is less than a mile away, and the walks of the Sandstone Trail as well as the hacks of the Bishop Bennet Way are easily accessible via the Shropshire and Union Canal on site. Elsewhere, several famed Shropshire and Cheshire sights are within 20 miles of the park, like Chester Cathedral and the city's Roman ruins and amphitheatre; Chester Zoo and Chester Racecourse; the fab follies of Hawkestone Park, and the llamas, alpacas and 50 acres of greenery of Cholmondeley Castle Gardens. Nearby Shrewsbury is famed for its annual flower show and for its Darwin Trail commemorating the life and work of evolution dude Charles Darwin who was born in the town. More modernly, a good range of plays are held at the new Severn Theatre and several riverside pubs and restaurants are around at which to while the night away. The bars, cafés and independent shops of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Llangollen are within driving distance: other top town picks are a picnic in Riverside Park, a stroll along Victoria Promenade, and a steam straight ahead on the Llangollen Railway.
