Excellent site!
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Really peaceful campsite, really well organised clear pitches and loved seeing the cows!
Easy check in and departure and in a beautiful location.
Disliked The toilets were compost toilets which was fine but they were mixed gender which meant as a girl going in after men there was sometimes wee on the seat - they clearly ignored the sign to sit down. It would have been nice if the bin was also in the toilet rather than outside!

A lovely site near the village pub and close to The Farmer's Dog
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked The large pitches and site as a whole, especially seeing the Cows and Bull going to and fro!
Nice to have Bins on the pitch too.
Celia and Tim are lovely and welcoming and it was good to have a text from Celia the morning of my arrival.
I will be visiting again!
Disliked Not keen on Compost Toilets but i appreciate why they are used.
From my perspective it would be good to have a Chemical Toilet Disposal Point as i need a Toilet in my Tent.

Perfect weekend camping spot.
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Received a warm welcome from Celia, the site is small and well located next to a cow field. Pitch sizes are generous and well laid out with a fire pit and two bins at each pitch. The compost toilets and showers are clean and well maintained. Lovely rural location with a village pub a short walk away.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Very family friendly site with lovely big pitches. Toys available for the little one's to play and a farm shop available on site. The cotswold wildlife park is 5 minutes down the road. One of the best camping shower's I've had! Bins and fire pit provided on each pitch was a nice touch. Arrived to a friendly greeting. The site and facilities are basic but nice and clean. The kids loved that we had to drive through the cow shed to the field! We would definitely recommemd to family and friends and stay on site again if the issue with the toilet mentioned below were resolved.
Disliked Step into toilets needs a rethink, pallet step not secure enough and I sprained my ankle. One of the toilets isn't very private with a large gap around the door and a hole at the front meaning people can see in.
Site is meant to be quiet after 10pm, unfortunately spoilt by inconsiderate guests arriving after 11pm to pitch up. With engines running and lights on shouting to each other at top voice disturbing multiple families with young children.
Multiple tent pegs had been left in the pitch when we arrived, luckily we checked before putting the tent up (maybe something that should be checked between guests?).

From the manager: Thank you for your comments. We are sorry you were disturbed by another camper we will try to reiterate to all campers about being quiet after 10pm especially if they are going out in their vehicle. We will look into what can be done about the toilet but it does need to be on a step because of the way the toilet is.
Great value for simple camping. I would thoroughly recommend.

This is a great campsite, but the toilets were a shock.

Liked We were welcome to the campsite by the owner and they were very helpful. Explained someone had called ahead with an early start and how best to avoid which is above and beyond.
Pitches were a great size and well defined with long grass perimeters.
Campsite was completely level so great for camper vans and tents.
Disliked The toilet facilities and showers were basic with not traditional plumbing, but appreciated this is to allow for a more environmentally friendly facility.

From the manager: Thank you for your comments. It is advertised that the toilets are compost toilets but sorry that it was a shock for you.

Liked Welcome Text on the morning and warm welcome upon arrival by Celia.
Pitch size was perfect as lots of space and not over crowded.
Facilities functional but basic.
Space to play and see farm animals.
Amazing value for money.
Disliked 5am wake up call from the crows in the tre, but that's nature for you.
