What customers say
This adult-only spot boasts a chill vibe, great staff, and a picturesque canalside setting. Reviewers love the shop, bar, food truck, live music, and unique atmosphere. While the peaceful location and nearby trails are a hit, some mention uneven spots. Portable toilets are a recurring issue for many, especially when busy, though some understand the site's constraints and available alternatives.

Primitive grass travel trailer campsite
Liked One of the most welcoming sites we have stayed on. Owners were super friendly and accommodating when we asked to pick with friends. Shop was really well-stocked. We really enjoyed staying there.
Disliked The site was very busy as it was Bank Holiday weekend and the portaloos got a bit smelly in the evening.

Live music, on-site food options a positive. Great location. Welcoming
Primitive grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Super warm welcome, thank you
Lovely location near the canal
Quiet at night
Disliked Nothing to dislike as it’s clear what you are getting when you book. So as long as you are happy with no electric, no showers, no hot water for washing up, borehole (clean) water and portaloo toilets then no issues. We used our own facilities. Maybe £25 is a little pricy without these things though.

Very nice place will definitely visit again
Primitive grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Very nice relaxed vibes here, helpful and friendly owners and guests. The owner leant us some tools to fix our tent box and we loved the morning visit from the resident dogs. We visited during the heatwave when firepits and bbq were banned for good reason so would definitely like to come back again when its less crispy and get the full experience with weekend action. Thank you Pig Place.

Disliked The loo,s

Good vibe site, but bring your own loo or risk the portaloos.
Primitive grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Great pitch, plenty of space. Laid back vibe, music on at the weekend and site shop, bar and chill out spaces. Nice location directly on the canal. Waste emptying and water available. Dog friendly with small off leash area.
Disliked Portaloos not great. Went in a very clean one initially but later only one available was full and dirty. I think the site tries to keep them clean, but when busy these types of loos get dirty quickly, as they do in most places.

Liked Lovely setting. Great to have shop on site, cafe and bar.
Disliked Very busy this weekend. Pitched us very close to each other. Weren't aware before booking that they had live music on. Great they do this but would have been nice to know prior to visit as not the vibe we were looking for! I would check their Facebook page before visiting if you want quiet!
