Gostou Everything! We had a brilliant couple of nights in tents. The whole place is really well organised and signposted, but with a very chilled vibe. Everyone very friendly, both staff and visitors. LOVED the live music (on both days) and a good boogie too! Paddleboarding on the river to a great pub. Cannot fault it, will def come back.

Não gostou Nothing really ... we knew about the loos beforehand, not really a problem. Just wonder if you could possibly do compost loos ....?

Gostou Lovely site and owner very welcoming and nice. And plenty of space for awning if you wanted to bring one. And cant wait to come back.

Gostou An informal park with a shilled out vibe. Nice bar and great entertainment on offer. A bit tricky to find a flatish spot but otherwise very good all round. Also good as only an hour or so from the Hartlington Indie Camper depot.

Gostou Very friendly staff. The shop, bar and food were all open. Pretty location on the canal, choose your own pitch, pitches slightly slanted but wasn’t an issue for me.
I did not use the facilities but they looked quite basic.

Gostou Much better than expected, Has a shop, food van and bar, area for dogs and canal towpaths are just a short walk out of main entrance which has a dog friendly pub about 20 mins walk away

Não gostou Some of the reviews, yes they're portaloos but they were clean and fairly new, think some of the reviewers should stick to caravan club sites

Não gostou We knew this at the time of booking but the toilet situation isn’t great. Luckily we were self contained as I wouldn’t have used them. They were like being at a festival really not great at all.

No pigs at all to watch and look at

Do gerente: During 2025 we have had a few comments about our toilets and requests for a toilet block. The Pig Place is not on mains water and never will be, we have our own water source from a borehole. The water goes through three filters and is tested annually to ensure that it is safe to drink straight from the tap – it is.
Borehole supply means that we are unable to offer either showers or a permanent toilet block. We have 7 portable toilets (on of which is set up as a urinal to prevent queues at busy times). They are cleaned regularly – usually by me. They have signage asking users to be considerate to other campers and ‘leave no trace’ of their visit and toilet brushes are installed in each cubicle to make this possible – however not every user adheres to this request.
I am sure everyone can appreciate that it is impossible for us to monitor every toilet after every user has left.
I’m open to suggestions as to how we can ensure the toilets can be left how people would wish them to be.
This has been by far the worst year of comments regarding our toilets – we have been using this system for over 12 years.
The provision of the facility is to open up camping @ The Pig Place to those who do not have their own facilities – however it would appear that the majority of comments are from campers who do have their own! Might I suggest that they use them as we have a toilet emptying point by the main gate for use on departure!
