What customers say
This friendly, family-run site is praised for its welcoming atmosphere and helpful staff. Good value with a convenient location near beaches and towns. On-site cafe and play areas are popular with families. Some find facilities dated, but cleanliness is generally good. Great for a quiet, relaxed break with dog walking opportunities.

A really lovely site, the facilities are clean, the staff is great
Primitive grass campsite
Liked - the track to the toilets etc is illuminated with pathlights and fairy lights
- the staff are very friendly and helpful
- the cafe on site is very good
- the facilities are well labelled and easy to use
- there's a direct path from the campsite to the beach, one does not need to walk along a road
Disliked The layout of the washroom/toilet is such that one can't have a wash at the sink without risking being seen from outside.
Showers are charged at 50p per 5 minutes - whether hot or cold.

Disappointing 😞
Camping pod (adults only, no pets)
Liked Good location with lovely beach nearby. Cafe on site - basic meals with good portion size & great prices.
Some friendly staff.
Comfortable beds.
Disliked Cleanliness questionable here..
Visited on site cafe- noticed previous guests bedsheets just rolled up & left on edge of table. Stains/ old food was wiped away using used bedsheets in front of our eyes ! No cleaning / disinfecting whatsoever apparent.
The shower/ toilet facilities extremely basic. On visiting- both toilets had been used but not flushed. Thousands of mosquitoes / flies everywhere inside, didn't use shower as didn't want to risk being eaten alive. Toilet visit & hand wash was quickest in history.
The amount of flies (inside) the pod was disgusting & puzzling ! Yes, was aware we were basically in the middle of a field in the countryside, we do stay at lots of glamping places/ pods and always go prepared armed with bug spray BUT ! A few flies are expected of course, however we did keep our door & window closed yet the flies kept appearing constantly (inside) which was baffling. ALL night.. we were inundated, hardly slept due to swotting them. We counted 46 ! It was as though they were crawling out of the woodwork/ breeding under the beds?? Ridiculous. If we hadn't both had a few drinks we would have just gone home.
No lovely morning awakening or a leisurely breakfast for us ... woke up, packed up & left. Couldn't get back home quick enough. Sadly our 'relaxing' break was extremely disappointing on this occasion.

Lovely hidden hideaway that I would love to revisit
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Small park on site for up to 13 year old, as well as bouncy castles & a games room.
Clean toilets & showers (50p per use - i didnt have any change so staff let me bank transfer to get some).
Washing up room and washing machine (didn't use but takes money too).
Very quiet & peaceful area, and everyone was respectful of the quiet periods (10pm til 7am). Could hear traffic going past on the main road occasionally but wasn't intrusive or overbearing.
Nearby fields had horses but I also saw a fair few rabbits in the early morning too.
Staff were very friendly, approachable and laid back.
Welcome pack was very detailed & included things to do locally.
We brought our own food but the menu of the tea room wasn't too limited, including a few vegetarian options.
(I can't rate the WiFi as im not sure if there was one, we didnt attempt to connect or use it but i thought that was a plus and enjoyed the screen free time).
Disliked The walk to the toilets. Its honestly not that far & by day 2 I was getting into a routine with the walk. But first thing in the morning felt like a mad dash in the cold air.
Unlit paths in places.

Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Hardstanding area was peaceful and the best area on the site in my opinion. Nice walk from the site across fields to the beach for a dog walk. We know the area well and had booked as no availability anywhere due to our late booking. It met our needs for a few days. Very friendly staff who couldn't be more helpful. Didn't spend much time on site, it was really a base to get to around due to family being local and its a good base with transport. Site costs are reasonable.
Disliked Glad we had full facilities in our caravan. Could do with a washing up, toilet area for those that haven't nearer the top end of the site as it's a walk if you've got a bit to carry. Also areas of the site are very tired, some dirty and chemical waste is an issue - was closed off temporarily with instructions to use the toilets. I would have been upset had we paid more, but can also see that with a little more TLC it would be a great site if you have kids as there is stuff for them to do like a park, bouncy castles and a games area, along with a tea room.
