  • Family- and dog-friendly site in the Lincolnshire Fens
  • Adventurers’ haven: walking, biking and riding routes, and boat hire
  • Slow-paced site: golfing and fishing less than 10 minutes’ walk away
Don your explorers’ cap for oodles of hiking, biking, riding and boating… At Springfield Farm Campsite, a family-friendly site half an hour’s drive from Spalding market town in Lincolnshire, they’re all part of a relaxing getaway. Inside the Lincolnshire Fens, Springfield Farm is a prime jumping-off spot for exploration of this part of Cambridgeshire – there are tons of trails criss-crossing the Fens that should suit cyclists, ramblers and horseback riders down to the marshland ground, and you can hire a narrowboat for a day of tootling along the Fens’ small rivers in March (30 minutes away). For that sedate experience, net yourself some prime lakeside seating and cast a line out at North View Fishing Lakes, less than a minute’s drive or 10 minutes’ walk from the site, or play a round at the neighbouring Gedney Hill Golf Course instead. Back on site, there’s play equipment, petting animals, table tennis, football and basketball for the whole family – even your pups will be kept busy with a few turns in the enclosed dog walk area. Once you’ve all worked up an appetite, head to the shared kitchen or fire up the barbecue and get to cooking (you can grab supplies from the grocery store two minutes down the road or one of the larger supermarkets in Wisbech, half an hour away). If you’d prefer a change of scenery, try one of the restaurants within 15 minutes of Springfield Farm.

Liked Excellent campsite, plenty for the kids to do. Very clean facilities,.owner was very friendly and helpful.
The kids loved feeding the Alpacas, had a few games of pool and had some pizzas from the on site cafe which were great.
Shop 1 mile away so could walk and get some bits if needed.

Hazel power optional grass campsite

Liked Absolutely brilliant camp site for families. Lovely playground, plenty of space, carts for the children’s in play on. Separate under 5’s play area with plenty of toys too. Craft hub to do crafts with the children. A lovely cafe on site open for a few days in the week and pizza oven on Saturday nights. Plenty of lovely and friendly animals around the camp site also. Fishing lake not far down the road of wanting to visit too.
Clare and Stewart were brilliant and very friendly. They made sure you was ok at all times and happy to help with anything. Chatty and friendly which is always a lovely welcoming part to a host I believe but not overbearing in anyway. It was our kids first camping trip and they loved it. We love to explore on our bikes but didn’t get the opportunity so not sure if there are any bike trails close by.

Disliked Park is brilliant but could do with some TLC in some places for the kids safety.

Walnut power optional grass campsite

Liked This was an absolutely lovely campsite where there is space for adults, children and families, with all the little details taken care of to ensure a great stay. Our dog loved watching the alpacas (!) as did we, and The Pantry had fantastic cakes, snacks and pizzas. We will definitely be back.

Local attractions

Start your stay at Springfield Farm Campsite by exploring the surrounding towns and villages: visit the bi-weekly markets and try your hand at pottery painting in Spalding, marvel at the ruined abbey and three-sided bridge in Crowland, and scoot over to Wisbech for Elgood’s Brewery and Peckover House and Gardens. If Peckover has whetted your appetite for stately old piles, you’re well served around here: the spectacular Oxburgh Hall and Tattershall are both within an hour of the site, and you can feel like nobility at the British Royal Family's country retreat at Sandringham, 45 minutes away. Want a change from bricks and mortar? Get out in nature at the Wash National Nature Reserve, 45 minutes from Springfield Farm, or stick closer to base with stops at Baytree Owl and Wildlife Centre and Skylark Garden Centre, Maze and Funyard. Take a break from the touristy traipsing to burn a hole in your pocket at Springfields Shopping Outlet, giving the kids (and your card) time to cool off between shops at Adventure Land and re-finding your zen post-spree in the Springfields Festival Gardens.
